[The Warden]

Duke watched as the enormous sword fell from the sky to the wasteland below. 'I can imagine' Duke muttered. 'We're going to a volcano where we assume the dragon digi-memory is, because we assume it would be held in the largets, most impressive and dangerous volcano' Lucemon explained, showing no sign of strains from carrying Duke.

 

Meanwhile on the ground a WereGarurumon was chasing after a Kiwimon, he had cornered it on a cliff. He leapt at it, but the Kiwimon dodged and he crashed. The Kiwimon walked around it's erstwhile assailant, poking out its tongue out and dashing off at an incredible pace whilst crying 'meep meep'. The WereGarurumon cursed its luck, but then heard a whistling as the sword plummeted down and cut the cliff clean off. the digimon whimpered as he and the cliff feel down an incredible height, ending with a comical dust cloud.

"...Fool." Was all ChaosGallantmon said before raising his shield to take the impact from the Pendragon's Glory.

In the aftermath of the blast, he appeared mostly alright, though his armor was charred and his cape was in tatters.

"Megidramon? You think that would be called my true form? Megidramon is perhaps the weakest of all my forms! Though I possess the most raw power in that form, it is totally uncontrolled. If you cannot control your power, it's as good as not having any. And you really don't get it do you? My form as Gallantmon was the one who never used the Digital Hazard! In that form nearly half of my power was dedicated to just stopping the Digital World from collapsing from my presense! But in this form, in this form I have no such limitations. There are only 4 forms in which my species can use all of their power." ChaosGallantmon explained, his voice laced with something between annoyance and insanity, "My form, Chaos. When infected by the X-antibody. When tapped into the realm of Witcheny. And when given outside power to evolve to Crimson. I despise all my other true forms. They all required outside assistance. I suppose you could call it Pride, but that's just how I feel about it. But in this form, ChaosGallantmon, my powers are at their max by no one's power but my own! and now, I'll show you the next stage of my powers. Vincent, do it."

"Alright." Vincent said wtih a quick nod, taking out his digivice.

Pressing the button on the side, Vincent caused an gargantuan amount of data to come pouring out of the device. All of the data converged infront of ChaosGallantmon, forming into a sphere. As the the flow of data stopped, the growing sphere of data solidified into a large sphere, which then slowly faded into ChaosGallantmon's body.

"ChaosGallantmon...Core." ChaosGallantmon spoke slowly, despite there being no changes visible.

Then a pulse came from inside of him, sending a shockwave throughout the room. At the same time, the color of ChaosGallantmon's body seemed to fade, and his cape and armor seemed to repair themselves. A pulse came from his body again, and again he turned a shade lighter. Again and again, until in place of the dark grey knight that had been standing before Examon, there was now a ghostly white figure. His armor was entirely white except for a dull purple glow showing the outlines of his joints. What had once been beautiful dark blue armor was now the same dull purple that outlined his body, his cape was also this color. The only thing that stayed the same as his previous coloration was half of the dragon mask adorning his forehead. Both his Balmung Lance and Gorgon Shield vanished, leaving his hands free.

"Call Leo." ChaosGallantmon Core raising his right arm which began glowing a dark yellow before swiping it in the direction of Examon.

In reaction, the ground between the two Knights shattered apart, and tons of rock and earth were sent flying at Examon.

"Aww poor wittle guy" Minerva said sadly "I hope he doesn't get a boo boo, or ya know, revert to a DigiEgg only to fall into a lake of fire that will have him constantly dying and being reborn as a DigiEgg for the rest of eternity, that would be bad too"

 

Examon easily dodged each of the attacks as they came "Megidramon and Crimson Mode are the only of your forms with unrestricted access to the Digital Hazard, ChaosGallantmon, you have to tap into heart of the incarnation of time itself. Are you really so stupid? Gallantmon Crimson Mode does need an extra boost, but he uses that boost as a ladder to get to the full power of the Digital Hazard. You use that boost and toss out the Digital Hazard like it's as worthless as a Numemon" He shook his head and fired another barrage of Avalon's Gate "Repent and be saved my brother."

Yasyamon was jumping so much and so high, he might aswell have been flying. They we're moving faster than either of them had done before. Sammy didn't know why Yasyamon was taking them faster in the direction they came, but he knew that his partner didn't usually go quickley. Yasyamon on the other hand could hear explosions and could see the trails of data from dying digimon. This wouldn't have made him go towards it normally, but he had seen a red dot flying in the sky some time ago. He knew who it was, Boogeymon and he knew that the faster they got away form him. The longer Sammy would have before he left.

 

 

The good thing about having magic, Boogeymon thought, was the ability to teleport. While he wouldn't normally use teleport magic to move, times were harsh. The digi-marines had mobilised, and a connection to a stream of data he once knew was cut. One of the demon lords had been destroyed and Boogeymon hoped it would be one of the more annoying ones, preferably Barbamon. Only time could tell.

"Boogeymon can you tell me why we just moved from one place to another in the blink of an eye?" Sam asked his partner.

"Yes. The digi-memory needs protecting and one of my brethren has been destryoed."

"Oh. Do you know which one?"

"No idea."

Daniel realized that the fight was getting a bit too drawn out.

"Alright, guys. Let's get out of here. We have what we came for."

He went over to Kayla, who now had black hair instead of blonde, shifted back to Justimon and Tiamat, and placed Kayla on Tiamat in front of him.

Daniel then revved up his D-Ark and they zoomed out of the chamber.

[Proto]

Belphemon continued to teleport from place to place looking where Lilithmon may have been. Eventually he transported to nearby her chaetue but came to discover the Digi-Marines leaving the scene. The Demon Lord began to panic, if the Digi-Marines had the power to defeat Lilithmon on their own then they truely standed no chance agianst the Royal Knights. Belphemon knew what had to be done, without the Digimemory we would not stand a chance agianst the side of Huanglongmon. He must tell the leader but where could he be? He then transported back to base, through despising being the bearer of bad news to Lord Ogudomon things had to be settled. Belphemon said with utter fear to his leader "My Lord, I am afraid that the Demon Lord of Lust, Lilithmon is dead."

[Ace Daimon]

I'm afraid you are mistaken, my old friend.

A familiar voice chuckled in Belphemon's head.

I am alive, but just barely. My original body, and all other potential hosts, were consumed by the Digi-Marine girl I captured earlier. Now, I reside in her consciousness, just barely able to control her.

This will be the last time I will be able to communicate with you, but just know that this girl, Kayla Bines, is the new holder of the Seal of Lust. Our master's plans will-

The telepathic message was interrupted as Kayla was carried too far away from Belphemon.

Sal whistled as he reclined in the air, mid-free fall, feeling the air whoosh against his ears. He glanced down at the ground, mentally calculating the distance. "I think that's good enough... wonder if I'm at terminal velocity." he wondered aloud, not even able to hear his own words over the rushing air. He snapped his fingers to form his Digivice out of his Digisoul, and stylishly as he could while falling, summoned his Fractal Code and scanned it across the Device. "Beast...Spirit...Evolution." he said like usual, the power of Gigasmon enveloping him like a glove as he changed into the rocky troll-Digimon. He braced himself for the impact of the ground, tough reinforced stone legs pointed towards the ground and bent to absorb shock.

 

Meanwhile, Musyamon on the roof hesitated for only a moment before quickly vaulting himself over the edge of the ship after Sal.

The true Sal yawned and stood up, shaking the sleeping Gururumon off his leg. She growled slightly, but adjusted herself and continued to sleep. Sal yawned a little and wandered down the corridors.

"What to do, what to do..." he muttered to himself. "Am I hungry? Meh, a little... Eh..."

Mistymon jumped gracefully off Imperialdramon as he switched modes, nodding a little at the method he had used to hold the sleeping girls. He dusted himself off and cleared his throat.

"Well, I believe the question is 'Now what?'" he said, tapping the hilt of one of his blades. "Do you have any idea where this Digimemory is?"

He blinked and squinted as he looked into the distance, muttering that his eyes must be playing tricks on him. He saw the nearby sea-coast a couple miles away, but in it, a couple leagues out to see, was a dark shape that was much bigger than even the largest Whamon he had seen. He shook his head, figuring it must be some sort of island or clifface.

Seri giggled as she saw a giant dragon fly above her. "Hey, I think that was a Royal Knight." she said with a slight smirk. "We should tell the others."

She paused thoughtfully.

"Though the question of how comes to mind... We should really get some method of instant communication, cellphones or something..."

Ogudomon, in his own voice and body, muttered a lot of unpleasant and impolite somethings under his breath, "This makes things even more complicated. But, on the upside, we now have a way in. Let me deal with replacing the Demon Lady of Lust, you two go back to Suzaku and find the Dragon DigiMemory before whatever splinter cell they left there finds it." And with that, Belphemon was up in the air above Suzaku.

 

As soon as Seri spoke, every Digivice held by a follower of Ogudomon glowed briefly "Communication function online" A mechanical voice said from all of them at once.

 

"Take your partner." Imperialdramon said, lowering his hand until his knuckles indented the ground and slowly tilted his hand, letting Ceila slide gently onto the ground "We might need her." He chuckled "The Spirit Warrior of Ice's first reall mission is a battle in Hell, anyone else like the irony?"

[Premier Alexander Romanov]

"This is Daniel. Come in Silence."

"This is Silence. You need a ride?"

"Yes, please. We have her, Garrett, but we have company."

"Nothing our new weapons can't handle, right?"

"Try a POed ex-Royal Knight."

"We'll give it a shot. Silence out."

As if on cue, Chaosmon crashed through what small remnant of a ceiling there was left after Examon and ChaosGallantmon's battle, followed shortly after by DarkOmnimon, Grey Sword extended and slammed it down at the abused Digimon's throat, only to be blocked by the Bantyo Blade at the exact last second.

 

"Omnimon" BantyoLeomon said through gritted teeth.

 

"You betrayed us" Darkdramon said, placing his Gigastic Cannon on the Fallen Knight's chest.

 

"I'm sorry" Caleb said finally, "If I don't do this, everyone in the Digital World is dead."

 

"GIGASTIC CANNON!" They shouted in their unified voice, blasting Omnimon into the wall in a massive cloud of smoke. When the smoke finally settled, Caleb, Leormon, and Commandramon were separated again, barely conscious and struggling to their feet

 

"That had to have killed him..."

[Hydra of Ages]

Seri blinked as she examined her digivice closer. "'Communication function? this thing has a communication function? Helloo..."

she said musically into the digivice, wondering if there would would be a response. She shrugged after a moment. "I've got a big dragon that looks a lot like Imperialdramon nearby. There may be others with him, but I couldn't see. I'd engage him, but I'm currently stuck in the ocean due to practicality. My co-ordinates are..." She paused to examine the function on her digivice that gave her the location.

 

She paused for a second. "Local Co-ordinates 26-02-94, or Sea Co-ordinates 001-007-62-09-A. Trust me, you'll see me if you're near, it's kinda hard to miss the mountain-sized red sea serpent."

"No." Mistymon said with a grumble, picking up Ceila and holding her bridal style once more. "Irony is the poorman's wit in fiction, and Yggdrasil's cruel joke in reality. I don't like it at all."

 

 

((NOTE: I know Huanglongmon is the god in this continuality, but I'm assuming Yggdrasil is the 'official' name of the main Digiworld server and processor.))

Sam heard a sound come from his pocket. Taking it out a phone symbol started flashing on the screen. Pressing the main button it switched off. Hmm. Must be a new function. Boogeymon flew faster and started to descend. "Hey we're here." He told his distracted human partner.

"What. Oh good." Thye were on the lip of a volcano surrounded by an uncountable number of other Volcanoes. "So where is it?" Boogeymon shrugged.

"I couldn't tell you. I'm not part dragon."

"Well then. We better start searching."

 

"Yasyamon we're almost there." Sammy shouted over the wind created by the speed they were moving.

"Good. I'm almost out of energy." Yasyamon whispered. He skipped up the side of a mountain and when they reached the top placed Sammy on the ground. The tall digimon turned back into Kotemon. "Oh boy. I am exhausted."

"You didn't have to jump like that."

"... Be quiet."

As Examon attempted to run ChaosGallantmon through and blow him to bits from within, his lance was blocked by the sudden reappearence of the Gorgon Shield, now the same pale white as it's wielder.

"You believe that my only forms that can truely use the Digital Hazard are Megidramon and Crimson? You overestimate your own intelligence. Megidramon is my true form brought about by the Digital Hazard, but it has no control. It simply unleashes the power of the Digital Hazard all around itself. Great for demolition, not so much for a 1-on-1 battle. Crimson on the other hand, well he doesn't even use the Digital Hazard. It is that form that 'tosses out the Digital Hazard like it's as worthless as a Numemon'. Crimson Mode seals away the Digital Hazard. It is in that form that I am able to use my true powers as a Royal Knight. Given my current circumstances though, I'd say it's rather...unsuitable. But the form I use now, empowered by the Chrono Core...it has synced with the Digital Hazard inside me, giving me total control of it, along with the Core's own power...you could say their like two ends of the spectrum. While Crimson Mode allows me full access to my Royal Knight abilities, Core allows me full access to my powers...as the creature destined to tear this world apart." ChaosGallantmon raised his hand, open-palmed at Examon, "Starting with you."

As he spoke, the symbol of the Digital Hazard, a triangle with a smaller triange hanging off each of it's corners appeared directly below Examon, glowing with an eerie dark aura.

"Here is what the Digital Hazard is truely capable of. Dark Hazard."

Beams of dark light suddenly erupted from the Digital Hazard symbol, engulfing Examon.

"Abandon all hope, ye who enter here. Whatever the Dark Light touches, faces total deletion."

 

PawnChessmon looked over the railing to see Sal Spirit-Evolve and land as Gigasmon without a scratch.

"Ha, told you." She said to the spirit in her head, "Now let's go, it ain't over yet."

PawnChessmon then suddenly vaulted over the roof herself, a Digital Code surrounding her as she went, and when she landed, in place of a little black mini-knight, was now a giant golem with lots of gun turrets.

Imperialdramon shook his head "You can't carry the girl into a battle" The Original Royal Knight said "I can try to wake her with my DigiSoul." He placed one massive finger on Ceila's forehead and waited for Mistymon to tell him to do it, or come up with a plan.

 

((When the Digital Hazard is 'sealed' in Crimson Mode, I always assumed that meant that CM could finally use the Digital Hazard without destroying the world.))

 

((What colors should Examon and Tara/Imperialdramon be?))

 

Examon roared in agony as three distinct DigiSouls, his own green and blue and Jack's gray, engulfed him, preventing the majority of the Dark Hazard from getting through, but still letting enough through to weaken him immensely "Brother... is this what you want?" He panted "Go ahead, kill me. Corrupt yourself completely, become a Demon Lord." He collapsed to the ground and Caledfwich disintegrated into a mass of data.

 

AncientVolcamon was completely unresponsive, borderline catatonic.

Suddenly, a relatively small airship appeared out of nowhere. It was colored black and was quite angular, yet curvy, as if it was built by an alien species.

The ship started to fire lasers at DarkOmnimon and ChaosGallantmon as a black-painted Blimpmon descended from the ship.

"Here's our ticket out of here!" Daniel declared.

[Blackstone Dresden]

DarkOmnimon took the hits like they were nothing more than a light rain "Nice trick." He said, holding up the Garuru Cannon "Wanna see mine? Supreme Cannon!" A roar of black energy shot from the Garuru mouth/hand, ripped through the Blimpmon's blimp and kept going to the Silence's hull. "How embarrassing, your massive amounts of firepower are outweighed by one of my bullets." He grabbed the Blimpmon's DigiEgg and it vanished in a burst of indigo energy, to be reborn as one of Ogudomon's soliders. "Now then, I killed your pathetic attempt at cloning me, ChaosGallantmon's about to kill Examon and take his rightful place as a Demon Lord, and Ogudomon's about to get another DigiMemory. We win."

"I have an idea," Boogeymon told his partner, "Not sure if it'll work but lets give it a try."

"Sure why not, it isn't like we have any other leads on where this digi-memory is." Sam waited for boogeymon to tell him, "Well?"

"Oh right yeh. Take out your digivice and use the map function." Sam did it and they could see a small area of there current location, they could actually see more from where they stood, "Now put just a little digisoul energy into it." Sam did as his digimon told once more, and this time the map shrunk, but the rest of the region appeared aswell.

"Woah, was that what you were going for?" Sam wondered.

"Not exactly no." Boogeymon said slightly unsure of the next move. "Can you search for different energy signatures?"

The human scratched his head.

"I think so." He pushed one of the buttons and the color of the map changed, pressed it again and it glowed bright. A multitude of colours sprang out. "Ok. I think thats us," Sam said pointing to one of the brighter points. "So that means there are othes in the area aswell. That doesn't suprise me. And these are the largest and hottest volcanos here."

Booeymon started floating around above Sam's head height, "Right they're over there. Which ones the hottest?"

"That one." Sam directed towards the biggest Volcano in the region.

"It would be." Sam grabbed hold of Boogeymons arm and they flew towards there target.

Sammy and Kotemon were on the move again, but this time Kotemon was the one being carried. The little digimon was snoring very loudly and Sammy wondered if they would attract the attention of wild digimon. They reached a cave entrance and the human tried to rouse Kotemon from his dreams. He couldn't wake him, so Sammy had to make the decision. Go forward and follow his digivice, or stay out here till his partner woke. The boy chose the first one.

Tyler gasped and tugged on Frigus. "Do you really think you can take him?" he asked with a babyish tone.

 

Ash was hit by the freezing dragon square in the face. Alex cracked his knuckles. And as soon as he got back up, Ash cracked his neck. He grunted. "Wow...is that really all you got. I can digivolve to Mega if i wanted to. But I'm exhausted."

 

Lance yelled towards Frigus, "Hey, it's not a problem. Aero and I can totally take these two losers!"

[Blackstone Dresden]

Frigus placed one hand on the ground and the area around them dropped a decent fifteen degrees "Much better." He said with a grin, "You're gonna be my first fight, and I'm gonna be enjoying it WAY to much." He slammed his fist out and another ice dragon shot at Ashu "Subzero Ice Punch!" He shouted again, his cape/wings flapping threateningly, or about as threateningly as an draconian snowman could possibly be. "Tyler, you stay here. Carly, Beta, you two go out to the sea and prevent an aquatic assault. Uncle Lance, Mom, trust me and let me handle this."

[Mr. Hyde]

Carly and Beta nodded. "Let's go Beta." She turned to Frigus and Tyler giving them a thumbs up. "We got this, don't worry." She hopped on MegaSeadramon's back. Beta then jumped into the Ocean. They watched for any certain people who might stop their progress in the search for the DigiMemory.

 

Tyler nodded as well. "Let's do this big guy!" he said with a grin. Aero sighed.

"Be careful baby!" she said with a tear running down her face. "He grew a little fast, don't you think." She said with a chuckle. Lance laughed.

"They always do."

 

Ash snarled as the Subzero punch hit him square in the face. "Hmph. interesting." He aimed his two horns towards Frigus. "HORN DRIVER!" Two beams of energy ran up his tusks and fired only to run into each other because of the angle. But this created an orb of energy that shot out both beams together making it bigger.

[Blackstone Dresden]

Frigus took in a gigantic breath "Ice BREATH!" He shouted, releasing that breath in a wave of white ice, too cold to be melted by the area's intense heat that intercepted the beams, freezing them solid and shattering them, the Ice Breath being canceled out in the process. "An ice Digimon's first battle is in Hell, anyone else notice the irony?" He asked Tyler, Alex, and Ashu with a wide grin. He was enjoying himself, despite the fact that he probably wouldn't live if he lost.

 

Imperialdramon looked over at Frigus' general direction. "I have the strangest feeling that I really want to agree with someone right now."

[Mr. Hyde]

Tyler and Alex laughed. Ash didn't. He smacked Alex over the head with his tail. He snarled, "Well, doesn't that stink for you!" He shot another Horn Driver towards Frigus. But this time, when the orb charged, it shot out instead of a laser. "Horn Barrage!" he said as even more orbs shot from the middle of his tusks.

 

Tyler flinched at the sight of tons of energy balls coming towards them. "Frigus, we gotta do something!" Aero dove in but was jerked back by Lance.

"You heard 'em. Let's not intervene shall we." He said with a smile.

[Blackstone Dresden]

Frigus ran out of the way of Ash's attack, straight into the water "Snowball Fight!" He shouted, absorbing water from the Net Ocean and using it to replenish the snow from his body that was shooting out of his hands, shooting down each Horn Barrage ball one after the other, not letting them come within two feet of hitting anything, with the last spread of snowballs going straight for Ash

Tyler hopped in the air with a smile. "Good job Frigus! Don't let up!" Ash was knocked down by the snowballs. He grunted.

"How are snowballs doing anything to me!" He roared. "I don't care if i'm tired anymore. This guys stronger than most Frigimon. In fact...he doesn't even look like one!" Alex nodded. He charged his digisoul into Ash. Ash was now a Triceramon. "TRI-HORN ATTACK!" Three beams shot from his horns towards Frigus.
