A match winner, tell me again, why are they banned?[/quote'] They are illegal, except for V-Dragon, who is banned. Due to things like Yata lock + Match Winner in game 1 is auto win in the OCG. There you can only surrender during your main phase. Here you can surrender at any moment, even when your opponent is about to attack, so you can surrender before the effect of the match winner activates, and you don't lose the match, just that duel.
