Luna Lovegood
Avatar' date=' the movie. It has actual plot, not [b']just random people using magic powers to kill each other[/b] You mean kinda like Harry Potter? Avatar TLA and HP are kind of on the same level, really. Both have good, established plots and go places. On-Topic: Avatar The Last Airbender. Only good show on Nick since Spongebob. >_> But Avatar TLA's plot is too complicated for its own good. Also, I dislike most animes
Phantom Roxas
Avatar TLA isn't even an anime. It was just a cartoon that was anime-influenced, but awesome none the less. I'll just quote what someone said on another forum regarding James Cameron's Avatar and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. People are scared of anything complex' date=' becaue they fear if they understand or like anything complex, they'll open themelves to strange complex emotions and feel sad a lot. (Oh, boo-hoo, you cowardly pricks). So they like the polar opposite: simplicity. That's why Revenge of the Fallen did so well. What's even better to most people is simplicity that seems to have a deep and obvious meaning (but really doesn't(, because it makes the average dummy feel smart. That's why Avatar is making so much money. Same thing goes for the Spiderman films and Titanic. Another contributor the film's income is that most theaters are playing it in 3D only. Tickets to 3D films cost more than regular films. Around my theater, 3 to 4 bucks more.[/quote']
Dark
Airbender. But once Aang started learning to fire-bend, the entire storyline fell apart and it was just filler to defeat that guy... forgot his name.
Phantom Roxas
Ozai? I really liked Season 3, and Sozin's Comet was one of the best series finales I've ever seen.
Dark
I haven't said this about many shows, but the middle part (end of season one, season two, beginning of season three) was the high point. The beginning and end were pretty crappy for me.

Davok
I haven't really watched Avatar the Last Airbender. Avatar was a pretty good movie, but the only thing I really got out of it was the whole anvilicious Humans are Bastards message and the extremely suggestive similarities between the RDA and the UNSC. Which brings me to think of Phantoms flying over the moist forests of Pandora, raining down plasma upon the populace while Colonel Quaritch tackles a Scarab in his AMP. So yeah, ATLA. The Dark One
Avatar was a REALLY excellent movie. Yeah the plot's been done before, but frankly originality is rather hard to come by nowadays. Yeah, Avatar points more directly to Pocahontas than many movies do to their various roots, but that's not the point. It was a retelling of an age old story. No sheet it's going to sound a bit LIKE that age old story. A story that is still plenty good despite its age. What distinguishes Avatar from Pocahontas is the development of the characters. That does matter too. Movies are entertainment and we are social beings. They're MEANT to explore human interaction. And don't sit there and act like the effects don't matter. No sheet they're not the end-all be-all, but in that ten years from now when every movie is like this, you'll come to a sudden realization: every movie just got a hell of a lot better. As for Airbender, I haven't watched it at any length, but from the episodes I've seen, it's quite good. I'm looking forward to the Airbender movie that's coming out. Anyways, I went with Cameron's Avatar, but I certainly have no issue with Airbender.
Felix Culpa
Airbender at least has its own plot. Cameron's is just Pocahantas in space.
Zeroke
Avatar the Last Airbender. The ending came a little fast didn't it? I expected it to last for a few episodes, at least.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'd have to say "The Last Airbender".The movie itself was not so good.

Cause connecting your tail with something to connect souls and a tree that sends dinos to save you is kinda magical to me.0_o What distinguishes Avatar from Pocahontas is the development of the characters. That does matter too. Movies are entertainment and we are social beings. They're MEANT to explore human interaction. Yeah I liked the main character, the flyer girl and the scientist.:) And the 2 guys that get saved and can move to Pandora in the end.The major guy was lulzy.XD But if I want to be reminded that the world is going down and it's only our fault and we should get back living on the trees and go save it an hero RIGHT NAO I don't need to watch the movie. I just need to listen to certain people I know and their lectures.:/ But of course nothing can beat the effects in the movie. Ok sure we're going to get others like that but it's quite an innovation. Phantom Roxas
They only say Earth got ruined. That's a perfect opportunity to go "Pics or it didn't happen", and they fail to supply us with proof. The two guys that were chosen to stay on Pandora was stupid, because who's to stay they even want to stay?
Tabris
Neither. While others look for the basics, I look for originality. Nickelodeon's too-drawn-out and sanitized and overslimmed in parts, while Cameron's was. Eh. ROTE. Bland. boom.
CinnamonStar
Well it's quite a fact, the great mother is in a bad state but I don't care anyway.I hate the world.Well the 2 guys...IDK they were hand-picked because they didn't want to attack the tree of souls? I think the main character was cool but they could have gotten more character development. Or development at all, you get to know nothing about them besides the main guy, the scientist and the flyer girl. But at least they were cool in my books.:) And when the Last Airbender comes out I'm going to watch it, hope that it's going to be good.
Flame Dragon
Avatar' date=' the movie. It has actual plot, not just random people using magic powers to kill each other[/quote'] The movie's plot has been done countless times, which is why it sucks. Avatar the Last Airbender has a deep, original plot. What hasn't been done before? I really don't like when people say this since nothing is original any more. Really nothings been original for a long time now. I do admit the beginning of the series was pretty lame' date=' since a lot of Season 1 was just filler, but most of them did ultimately contribute to later episodes in some way. Season 3 only had a couple fillers, and they were excusable. Plus seeing as how it was right before the final it was a funny way to look back on the events of the show. Over I'm neutral, if not going a little more to Airbender
