POT OF GREEDEROSITY

Recommended Posts

It's good but it's definately not broken. If you have 2 of these in your hand you have a dead card and you can't sp summon which is a huge part of this game. It's going to be great for anti meta, heroes, gadgets and similar deck but you can't run this with everything. It kills firedog, shura, wulf, rescue cat, monk, redmd...

Also the really simple fact is that it makes the deck go from 40 cards down to 37 when one runs 3 of these.

But you're right that it is a bit better than JoG, as it is a normal spell, but it's arguably worse than Upstart Goblin.

The restriction on Special Summoning is a pretty huge deal, huge enough to make it less desirable to run in any of the top decks, at the moment.

I don't see this card being banned.

It's a +0 that stops you from Special Summoning for the turn

I will admit that searching through your next three draws and picking a card you want out of them is really appealing, but the lack of Special Summoning evens it out, in my opinion.

I haven't really thought about this card in terms of an Exodia deck.

The only Exodia Deck I've every run was

Exodia x5

Heart of the Underdog x3

Golden Sarcophagus x2

30 Normal Monsters

just to say' date=' with the exception of those few like DAD and JD, if you really needed to summon more, why not play the currently unlimited ult. offering along with this?

It's a Trap. A slow one.

@Whoever complained that no-SS is a big deal:

Yeah, for most Decks, but I run a lot of Decks that never really SS, or only do once every two turns or so, so this is fine. I don't expect this @3 in Glads, but it still has many non-F/OTK Decks that it's good in.

What sets this off from JoG is you don't need to wait to use this, just draw and play. So when you draw it during your draw phase you get a redraw basicly. That doesn't happen with the Trap draw cards. Also for Upstart to be any good you need to run it at 3.

Why is that?

At one or two it's still a 39 or 38 card deck.

If you only run two odds of getting both are very small.

The main problem with this is that it is a fluff card that just isn't their, draw then play. The trap cards that give draw are different because they can't do that. Their is a time when they aren't just fluff.

I think the best way to try to explain is to think about when you have no cards. Draw this and you get a do over on your draw. Drawing one of the traps you need to wait so your stuck with a useless card for a turn.

Look at the top 3 cards of your Deck. Select 1 of them' date=' and add it to your hand, and return the rest to your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Pot of Greederosity" and [b']you cannot Special Summon during the turn you activate this card.[/b]

wat

oop...that ruined it for me

Makes it so that it can't be used as well in Meta decks, which I believe was done on purpose. Either that, or they're just a-holes who like putting random clauses on their cards.

I have a friend who runs Gemini City, and this card would be great. Its advantage over JoG or Upstart is that you actively choose which card you get, and that's pretty damn good.
