A Super-Strong Trap [Solomon's Lawbook]

Recommended Posts

Except a card called Pandemonium works better for Archfiends.

I know there's cases where you'd want to skip your Standby Phase to prevent something negative from happening. But I can't think of any cases where you want to avoid a Standby Phase so badly you'd add a card to your deck that'll -1 you just to do it.

A plus: It's chainable.

A negative: So what? The effect's bad.

I think this Solomon would be the third king of Israel. But, you know, whatever.

So, I think all those cards that require a maintenance cost in the Standby Phase were ruled so that you had to pay the cost even if the Standby Phase was skipped. A pointless card is even more pointless.

  • Destiny Hero - Doom Lord: If your 2nd Standby Phase is skipped by the effect of a card like "Solomon's Lawbook"' date=' then the removed monster will never return to play.
[*']Dust Barrier: If you skip your second Standby Phase with "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., then "Dust Barrier" remains on the field and its effect continues to apply.
  • Mirage of Nightmare: If your Standby Phase is skipped because of "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., do not discard for "Mirage of Nightmare".
  • Swords of Concealing Light: If your second Standby Phase after activation of "Swords of Concealing Light" is skipped with "Solomon's Lawbook", etc., then "Swords of Concealing Light" is not destroyed and remains active on the field until removed from the field by another effect.
  • Vampire Lord: If "Vampire Lord" is supposed to be Special Summoned, but your Standby Phase is skipped with "Solomon's Lawbook"..."Vampire Lord" won't be Special Summoned, not even on the following Standby Phase.
  • Wave-Motion Cannon: If the Standby Phase is skipped with "Solomon's Lawbook"...increase the count for "Wave-Motion Cannon" anyway.

There are ALL of the rulings for this card.

Guess I was wrong. WTF is with the ruling for Wave-Motion Cannon, though? That makes no sense.
