It has two good effects that force your opponent to try to play around it, and with Union equips, it can be downright formidable, forcing your opponent to expend even more advantage to play around its effects. I have a deck on WC 2010 that revolves around reviving him and continuously recycling the discarded machines. It has beaten LS, BW, and Glads. So, yeah. Epic card is epic. TechnoDoomedOne Posted June 16, 2010 Report Share Posted June 16, 2010 There are sooooo many ways to shut down the Fortress. 1st.- with 2500 ATK no one will be thinking of destroying it by battle, but by card effects. 2nd.- Its third effect only protects the Fortress against Effect Monsters. Maybe some people cannot play good unless they play DAD or JD, but I think Effect Monsters are the last way of destroying monsters when you have a very wide array of destructive Spells and Traps. 3rd.- It can still be removed from play. Dimensional Prison, Macrocosmos and Dimesional Fissure would like to have some words with this card. Still, broken as hell. Its not a problem of the banlist though, but a problem on how does the card exceed the power a monster should normally have. This is not the first time Konami releases a super-powerful card trying to improve an Archetype or strategy in general, making the game unfair but falling short in the upper meta, therefore not worth getting hit by the banlist. And Unlike Stratos, Gearframe has to be Normal Summoned for the effect to go off, and cant search for itself. Gearframe and Fortress will probably stay @3. If anything, the gadgets will go back to 2.
