The scheming in my honest opinion, bored the living f*** out of me. It doesn't help that the main character is a walking plot device and his general attitude makes me want to commit seppuku with a flaming chainsaw.

 

Well, I guess it's not for everyone. Though I don't understand how you could be bored. It's not like the scheming was slow or anything. I'm pretty sure every episode involved a lot of action. As for the plot device thing, honestly, I don't see why that's a problem.

 

Just because things are cliche, or have been done before, or are not creative doesn't make them bad. They wouldn't be so famous if they didn't work.

 

His attitude seems fine to me. I mean, yeah, he's kind of a pussy at times, but overall he just wants to end the tyrannical reign of the Britannians.

 

Also, what's your opinion on KHR?

But yeah, Fairy Tail is high quality stuff. It's not high in my faves, but it's definitely one of the best mangas out and probably the most popular outside the Big 3.

KHR's alright to me, but it doesn't click with me like other mangas do for some reason.

But I'll admit, it does have nice openings and endings.

You "implied" (as according to Nex's fix) that I didn't understand a basic function of almost all RPGs, which is customization. I understood SPECIAL. I knew how to SPECIAL so that it worked in my favor for the role I wanted. However, the way it affected the gameplay had... undesirable consequences.

I don't like Third person shooters TBH (e.g. Army of Two: 40th day. Bought it. Played for 10 minutes. Broke it in half, buried it in my backyard, and crapped on it. And if that stops even one gamer from obtaining a copy of that game, then my job is done). Except Lost Planet 2. That game made me cry from how amazing it was.

Yea, I thought so too. Yamamoto's great and all, but I don't think he'd be Black's fav. Oh, and I never even thought about Mukuro. I'm putting my money on him.

 

I've realized that I feel the same way about FMA. That's why I can't get through it.

 

As for my Faves, it's definitely KHR at the top, with Fairy Tail at 2nd.

What's unfortunate is that it's actually amazing from a cinematic standpoint, and I had to watch it in German class (Even though it's Italian, but we failed to change the language of the film), and everyone else found the main character to be very likable. I've considered that maybe I was in a bad mood or I somehow thought that annoying main characters are only okay in anime, but I've decided that I just really hate the character, and the fact that he's played by the director only makes it worse. It's a tragicomedy taking place during the Holocaust. I saw the film in my junior year, and when I brought the film up to my English teacher a few months ago, and she actually had seen the film, and she agreed with me that it was wrong what they were trying to achieve. We had just finished watching "Do the Right Thing", and I compared the unlikability of the main characters in both films, although in "Do the Right Thing," I am certain that this was intentional, which makes it the better film in that regard, and she liked my interpretation of the main character, which supported my view of him in an unsympathetic light. Roberto Benigni, the director of "Life is Beautiful", somehow won Best Actor, beating Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan, and actually climbed over seats to reach the stage to claim the award. It's for this reason that I wish to see Saving Private Ryan, though I don't doubt that Tom Hanks was great in that film.

 

I just don't get the appeal of the film. I know I don't think about things with the depth I should most of the time, but I honestly felt that the severe unlikability of Guido Orefice (Yes, that's the character's actual name) made the film utterly unwatchable. It doesn't help that, if I recall correctly, one of his friend's was a Nazi general, or at least was friends with them, and he was actually very likable and was my favorite character in the film. It's not because he sucked the least, but because he was actually a legitimately fun character to watch in his own right.
