+ Discuss where they belong on a good banlist. Use reasoning to support your argument.

+ Speculate where they will be placed on the next ban list.

Archfiend should be re-errata'd to search monsters only.

that makes it more innocent.

They gotta re-errata Archfiend, limit Launcher and leave Mirage as it is and i think it should be fine.

I think Launcher should be banned, but I expect it limited. Launcher to me is a superfluous card that breaks the deck. It was not featured in the anime at all, which makes me wonder why they released both it AND Mirage.

 

Archfiend will maybe get semi-ed or limited because it's SUCH a key card for Infernity that they'll hit it somehow. To me, Mirage is fine the way it is, whereas Launcher and Archfiend are issues, particularly in combo.

 

The Launcher or Archfiend debate is very rational. Archfiend is easily summoned and easily searches any Infernity card, making it a very versatile searcher and abusable with Launcher. Without Launcher, it's still a very versatile searcher and abusable with Mirage or Necromancer. It wasn't a problem before TSHD, but now it is, so it'll probably get hit along with Launcher. I can SEE Mirage getting hit, but not very much, nor do I expect it. I expect Necromancer hit before this.

Archfiend really isn't worthy to hit the list. He is a good beatstick with a search effect owait, with Mirage, it adds a +3 to the field. nvr mind about worthy to hit list. Semi it at most.

 

Mirage is powerful. Tribute it to Summon the higher leveled infernity monsters in your graveyard. Always a +1 with this card. Semi'd at least.

 

Infernity Launcher deserves to be limited. Reduces the size of your hand and summons infernities to the field. Still is a +1.

 

IMO on banlists.

Why should it be Semi'd? What will Semi Limiting Mirage do that leaving it at 3 or putting it at 0 won't do and don't give me the whole consistency argument because Mirage is run at 2 or 3 as it is at the moment?

Why Limit it? What does Launcher' date=' an archetype-specific double Monster Reborn that can be searched really give to the game at 1 that it can't give to the game if banned?

 

I hope they at least leave them a bit of a hope.

I expect Launcher'll be limited though.

 

Limiting Launcher is enough to hurt Infernities to the point they can't OTK consistently but that's probably what'll end up happening as well as some other bizzare Bans, Limits and Semi-Limits that Konami feels like making next format.

Nobody seems to care about Necromancer though. I have only had a few packs of Stardust Overdrive yet I have 2 of them.

 

They are common and easy to get a hold of, they are essential in the Infernity OTK and are a turnly monster reborn with 2000 defense.

 

OT: Launcher - 1 (it's a spell so can be lots of times in 1 turn)

Mirage - 2 (can't be special summoned which is what Infernities need)

Archfiend - 2 (the problem is what it is able to search (prehaps it should be at 1?))

Ban Launcher or make a ruling that says Infernity Archefiend can only search out monsters (but we know Konami wouldn't do that because they don't like to change the text of a card) and the problem is fix'd.

I think Konami might do something like limiting the following cards:

Launcher

Necromancer

Mirage

Archfiend (okay, maybe they'll semi that)

Reinforcement of the Army

Infernity Inferno

 

I found a pattern in Konami's lack of banning, with the exception being Dark Strike Fighter: rather than ban one card, limit or semi it and all the other cards in the combo.

Technically, Gyzarus is another exception to that, but they limited Bestiari, which is kinda close enough according to their logic.
