Posted July 30, 2010 Report Share Posted July 30, 2010 couple of months ago, I posted a thread somehow similar to this one, saying that x-sabers are probably goin to be the next meta, and some bastards lol'd at this statmentnow, x-sabers are number 1, so the kids that just lol'd at my old thread can go to hell now. anyways, discuss this crazy overpowered archtype and the best cards out there to counter them, They swarm the field/sync in a blink of an eye,They have huge beatsticksThey can discard your entire hand in 1 turnThey are as*ho**s Royal oppression maybe the best tech against them, but it can hurt your deck as well I think, Goldd can be a good card to counter them, he can stop their reign of terror when discarded by their Air/Gottoms.but that's just 1 card, so, DISCUSS Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Do you need an Earth-Imprisoning Mirror and a Consecrated Wind as well, or is locking down Special Summons and stealing 2 of your opponent's monsters costlessly good enough? Darksoul searches like crazy.Cat is basically Harpies Feather Duster with a search in the end phase.Boggart Knight sets up for Troll plays.Fullhelm revives.Not to mention Airbellum can discard. ^ but in the end they will end up discarding Beaux and destroying all their monsters also, Frogs FTK did not win the US nats , They won South American Nats and like 2 other nats. TBQH I'm working on a X-Saber deck for kicks and I can't see what will make it so good. Using WC10 doesn't help since it doesn't have a lot of the really good cards. It's just not right.Meh, it still doesn't make it broken. Goblin Zombie and Stratos can both do that if they keep coming back. Again the problem is likely what ever card that kept bring him back. Look if you Oppress them / cancel their plays with E-Call, you'll never need to beat the loop. Flame Dragon, it's my personal opinion that Darksoul is the main thing that makes X-Sabers fully consistent (having never used them but read a ton of Feature Matches). Try comparing an X-Saber deck with and without Darksoul, and see how they do. Obviously it's not really broken on its own, but neither is Rescue Cat - if Airbellum didn't exist, it would probably be @ 3. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

True by this point your opponent probably filled their field with monsters, but then its your turn and your chance to lol swarm and otk them back.
