Dueling...... the COMFY WAY!

As we all don't want to know, I always drink Dr. Pepper Perk-A-Cola during my duels.

 

I always try to get a sugar rush when I duel. Why? Cause for some reason, I can last about 2 or 3 turns longer.

 

Example:

 

Reactor deck: Usually lasts 3 or 4 turns without me having a drink up against a Vayu Turbo deck.

 

Reactor deck with Dr. Pepper: 4 or 7 turns. Usually by my good luck of almost getting Skyfire out.

 

Now, discuss what things you tend to do in a duel.

 

Also, discuss what you bring with you.

 

My stuff:

 

2 decks (Reactor and Spirit Oppression)

 

Money for at least 10 Dr. Pepper Double Tap Root beer.

I eat either Chips or a Sandwich, mainly because i'm hungry halfway through the Duel, and if I'm hungry during the Duel, I tend to concentrate more on food then on the Duel

If i'm Dueling Someone I Dueled Before with the Same Deck, I usually try to imagine their next move, then fake them out by using a card I know they're going to counter, but that fails more than half the time

I mainly listen to my MP3 cause my freinds usually fail at dueling. The only times there good is when they use Frognarchs and Infernities. I occasionally turn on the tv incase they are about to raegquit

I do the same thing for all 15 of my decks, except for my E-Hero deck. For my 14 decks I usually lay down sideways, facing the mat. I don't eat or drink anything. For my E-Hero deck I sit straight up, because I only use when I know my opponent is good. Besides that I don't really do anything different...

I always shuffle the cards in my hand when I get bored of my opponent's awful deck.I always use side deck cards for Tokens and when I am checking what all my set cards are, I always pick up my Tokens and see what they are XD. I also always pick up my side deck rather than my extra deck when I am Synchroing.

If I were to duel IRL, I'd bring my cheap Batteryman Deck, a drink, and Flash Duel so we could play a balanced game instead of Yugioh after the duel.

I normally swear loudly or insult my opponent to put them off. When playing my Harpie deck and my opponent says the word "Harpie" I say "Do you have herpes?" and get them more pissed off.

OT: All i need for me to be comfortable during a duel is music, couch, and something to preoccupy myself when i get too bored of the duel

when i duel i settle down with some pizza. When i duel my friends i trick them into wasting their counters so i can use my spells and traps without interuption.

I just focus mental power on top of my Deck wishing what my next draw is (sometimes with nothing in mind but wishing I'll manage a combo with w/e I draw). Surpricingly, when I'm not the one dueling and just touch a friend's top of the Deck with a finger. They flip the game next turn.

 

I also shuffle my hand and re accomodate my field very often so it looks kinda good (except againts senet Decks)

I also place all cards in my hand face down occacionally (not on the field) and pick them back up, look at them, shuffle them, get absent minded, and repeat O_o

 

My Tokens are funny toys that little kids use to bath, (I thought they looked cute so.. I thought they would make better tokens than the unoriginal gray cards with not so new pics) (they are all alike and very simetrical) and its just awesome to see my opponent's expression when I get them out of my bag when I play xD

My decks are mainly Gravekeeper's, Harpies, or Hopeless Dragon

When my friends use Infernites, i usually quit once i see launcher. I only beat the Infernities once with Gravekeepers and only cause i summoned DAD after two turns of Gravekeeper's Spy getting owned several times.

I usually put together a playlist of Yugioh opening songs and blast it on my computer whilst we duel. I tend to lie down facing the field, and set my hand face-down to indicate the end of my turn. Takes people a while to get it. I also have a habit of putting my Extra Deck face-up - probably since there are only three cards in it and everyone knows what they are.

 

One habit of mine is to arrange my hand so it goes Monster, Spell/Trap, Monster, Spell/Trap and so on. Really makes uneven hands a b****.

I always make jokes and do summon chants for random things when I duel. I also tend to make ridiculously long, obvious and convoluted plays just for the sake of it, pissing everybody off.

 

Also, I always bring:

 

3 Decks (1 YGO [Morphtronics (Advanced Format)], 1 MtG [Elemental Deck Wins (Extended Format)], 1 PKMN [Active Control (Modified Format)])

1 DSi w/ games, usually Pokemon games

3 Trade Binders, 1 of them being ridiculously huge, all ridiculously well-sorted

Whatever is required to play a game of MtG, YGO or PKMN. So: Dice, Damage Counters, a Calculator, and a few Coins.

1 Blackberry Curve, with which to look up rulings and shut up idiots

I usually just have my deck, but I get uncomfy when I duel people who are constant;y moving their hands like a spaztastic moron, like they throw their (card) hand face-down while making a move, but they keep smaking their face-downs and stuff.

 

It's what a lot of u-tube duels have to and it's irritating.

 

 

There shouldbe a common courtisy rulebook in yugioh (And the RUle ofCmmon knowledge should be there, metioning the contents of the Grave can remain open, but you should ask before picking up someone's cards)

 

I've had my entire deck knocked over due to spazes trying to check my grave without asking (to make sure my solidarity is still in effect) I of course used the chance to put a power bond in my hand with my Ancient Gear Golem but...Spazes should still have to follow the rules!

I take my calculator, money for a couple of boosters and 2 tins. RDA tin for commons from regular expansions, and MSD tin for everything else, including commons from structure decks, duelist packs, gold series, rare cards, my deck, card sleeves and my Cossy. Yes, I know I have few rare cards...

I bring a messenger bag with my binder, a Pokemon lunchbox filled with random commons, a deck box with some bad holos, and my actual deck box. Sometimes I bring a few Dr. Peppers. /:

 

I shuffle my hand when dueling, and I often strike up casual conversation to lighten the mood. I'm not one for the psychological tricks of Yugioh, mainly because I'm bad at them and partially because most of the people who do them are major douches.
