Although i'm not too sure, even though "The Dark - Hex Sealed Fusion" is not considered a Fusion Summon, you still cannot use "Hex" as Substitute Material Monster as Dark Balter must be Summoned using the correct materials. Since Hex's effect states "By Tributing Fusion Material Monsters on the field", Hex itself is NOT a valid Material for Dark Balter the Terrible, meaning if you planned on using "The Dark - Hex Sealed Fusion", you'd still need Possessed Dark Soul and Frontier Wiseman on the field.

Cyber Dragons disagree.

WC10 has neither Possessed Dark Soul nor Frontier Wiseman, but I don't know about other games.

Cyber Dragons disagree.

Well, I did state I was not sure. The main reason as to not being sure is because of the fact Hex Sealed Fusions does not Fusion Summon, and it possibly would allow you to Special Summon a Fusion Monster, while it is being one of the materials (as a Special Summon that is not a "Fusion" summon would allow Hex Sealed Fusions to be a valid material in this case). It was the only reasoning I could think of when he said he couldn't Summon it himself (assuming he had used the card properly). If it works with Cyber Twin Dragon and the like, then I guess there's no problem then and i'd have no idea why it wouldn't work for him.

I hadn't tried to test myself yet. If its how it works, I wont argue it :o

They should give us a card that does this

Metaphorical Bonds
Quick-Play
Discard 1 card. Select 1 monster you control to reveal 1 Fusion Monster in your Extra Deck with the same Level as the selected monster. The selected monster's name is treated as that monster's name, and it gains that monster's effect(s).

Lolz
