Manjoume Thunder
Because only 1 type of Burn decks exists? Lol
>.> You know what I mean. Besides, Bubble Burn is the one that you should look out for. Stall takes time to win and Chain can draw s*** hands. @Klavier: In normal duels you have 6 cards and you have to burn 8000 Life Points. In tag duels you have 12 cards to burn the same amount of life. @Canadian: I do not really mind cards like Snipe Hunter. You have more cards to discard, but also more cards to destroy. Catterjune
This thread should be stickied.
No thanks. Everyone who's not a noob already knows the biggest problem with Tag is burn, and the easiest fix is just to increase LP to 16,000. But since Konami barely even acknowledges Tag, there's no reason to make a big brouhaha about this, any more then that guy's inbformat or that Field = Deck game or Dungeon Dice Monster or any other unofficial garbage.
You can call me a noob, but why Burn it THAT broken in Tag Duels?
When the duel starts, you have 12 cards. Five on your starting hand, one for draw phase. Five for partner's hand, one for draw phase. 8000 life points divided by 12 cards is approx 666 and 2/3s life points. All you need is 12 cards that can inflict about 700 damage, more or less, and you win the duel. Stuff like Ookazi, Tremendous Fire and Poison of the Old Man become ridiculously good. The duel is pretty much won on turn 3, when your partner gets a turn. Sure, there are the occasional odd card choices that can pull off the win, Six Samurai with Grandmaster, second turn PMD, etc etc, but they are very inconsistent in comparison to just burn. metalflygon08
What Konami would do is random tag-ups, so there's a good chance you would get stuck with a piece of Crap Jaden-wannabe noob on your team, who claims he did all the work, when all's he did was Normal summon Bubbleman, and suicided it into an 800 ATK monster to get rid of it. While you go through this crazy 8-card combo using his bubble man to get like 3 Ab-0's out and kill for game.

Mr. Pipinpapancopalopolas
IMO tag duels should have each player with 5 m s/t card zones, making each team have one big 10 card field (Lolmagepowerandunitedwestandspammers) No, thats why those cards would be banned... alot... forever... and never usable... even in casual play
Canadian
IMO tag duels should have each player with 5 m s/t card zones
Agreed, but lets not have a big 10 S/T zone, but rather each player uses their own so you can't give your opponent S/T's for their turn to use. But when its the opponents turn who follows yours, only you can activate cards in response to your opponent (not sure if that makes sense, I hope you get it). If Konami does make a Tag Duel Tourny without Banlists/rules, after Burn wins, there would be a special ban list for tag duels! and Than it would be possible to have future Tag Duel Tournaments once "Coin Flip - The Game!" is gone. Mysty
Chainburn/Bubbleburn then.>.>
That's why I would suggest an additional requirement: decks are not allowed to team up if they are 20 or more cards the same. Sure, the "random" partner-choosing (if done) wouldn't be exactly random since that would have to be coordinated in, but it would make sure that the two decks are indeed differently-themed. I'm not sure if that would even prohibit Bubbleman/Chain Burn team though. Maybe an up to 15 cards similar limit?
IMO tag duels should have each player with 5 m s/t card zones, making each team have one big 10 card field (Lolmagepowerandunitedwestandspammers)No, thats why those cards would be banned... alot... forever... and never usable... even in casual play
You mean like Upper Deck's Team Dueling? That kind of potential abuse is why I prefer Konami's "shared public zone" idea much more. I think Konami's tag-dueling is what the banlist in this discussion is based on, but I'm not sure. The interesting thing of Team Dueling done Konami-style is that all non-Forbidden cards have the potential to be run at 2, unless you get REALLY nit-picky and say that only one deck can have 1 and the other none. Perhaps a special list for cards that are okay at only 1 at one deck and none the other? It would certainly make random partner-choosing much more difficult though. Then again, why would there ever be a tournament with random partner choosing?
