Buttercup
Mark Howard said he'd quit after the new banlist. But he didn't. WHY MARK WHHHHHHHHHHHY!?!?!
Mr. Judgment Dragon
I know Mark personally. He's a funny guy. Anyway, some leave Yugioh all together because they go on a site thinking they're pro, show their Decks, in about an hour they find out they're noobs, get upset about it and quit the game because they couldn't take the criticism. Spoon
Well... I personally never even started playing YGO... but I would quit it anytime for the WoW TCG (and that's not because I love WoW so much... in fact, I hate it, but the TCG is awesome)... but they just don't have Card Maker or a community like this And yes, I think YGO is broken beyond believe... even the mear existance of a possible (and probable!) One Turn or even First Turn Kill breaks this game... and let's not forget the 100+ cards that are banned or limited... bad card design much? Another flaw (in my opinion): This game is all about speed (insert random Yusei quote here). As far as I can see it (with my newbie-eyes), stall decks don't exist in the competetive game. I mean, yeah, they're possible and maybe fun to play, but are they viable? I read an article a while ago where somebody compared TCG's (it was in German, no use posting it here), Magic, WoW, YGO, Vs. (whatever that is) and some more... and well, bottom line was, that WoW (as the youngest of them all, that has to be added) took what made Magic so much fun, added some other stuff a little Warcraft flair and new ideas in a blender, and bang, the "best" TCG out there was born (while that is still a matter of opinion). I personally agree with it (while only having played YGO, WoW and Magic). Bottom line... I guess I drifted away... I don't know, what was this thread about again? -Griffin
@Spoon - the reasonably quick pace and lack of stall is one of the best aspects of the game. It means duels don't drag on and there feels like there's a lot more player interaction than stall. Trust me, very few people enjoy playing against Pawman or Countdown (the best Decks that you can class as stall) Oh, and I've practically quit due to not having the time to keep up. Manjoume Thunder
ITT: Having 100 cards on the banned list is more than 80% (?) of all the cards. Also WoW is not a terrible card game that had some potential but was ruined, because they tried to make it as similar to the MMO as possible. .Gideon.
because they are noobs If you lose alot, can't win, then you will hate the game, and quit it's not about the game is "broken", it's about not having skills, and can't make good decks that can win. Mehmani
Yu-Gi-Oh! is a rich man's game, which reason enough to quit if you've got no funds like me. But hey, I get by with my crappy Zombie Synchro and my BKSS Harpies.

Just Crouton
This was an interesting reason for quitting from an article that I made a thread about a while back. This guy quit because of the unclear card rulings. My thread was later edited into the article by a staff member after I made it. Funny. I had no one to play with IRL.
Lonk
I quit YGO IRL. Why? Because it's just too expensive for my blood. I don't have enough money to buy cards separately (or in decks) online or at shops, which leaves going through booster packs, which cost $3.99 each at Wal-Mart! All what my luck could pull me are just crap commons and crap rares. That is when I stopped searching for YGO cards and quit IRL.
Sleepy
The game itself is not broken beyond repair, although it can get a little too fast at times .____. . OTKs are not as impressive or rare, and slowing it doesn't need to mean "stall". Maybe something like starting Life of 12,000 or something along the lines. IDK Anyways, back to topic. I've seen people quit in the past for the lack of enough variety. A friend last year quit because Lightsworns and Blackwings were the only good Decks. Another one switched to MTG.
