I never cease to say this card is one of the most funny things i've ever played

Anime Effect: If you activate a non-"Speed Spell" Spell Card, take 2000 damage. During each player's Standby Phases, place 1 Speed Counter on this card (max. 12). You can remove any number of Speed Counters from this card to activate an appropriate effect:
● 4: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent for each "Speed Spell" card in your hand.
● 7: Draw 1 card.
● 10: Select and destroy 1 card on the field.

WC2010 Effect: Spell Cards other than "Speed Spell" Cards cannot be activated. During each player's Standby Phases, each player places 1 Speed Counter of their own on this card (up to 12 each). You can remove Speed Counters of your own and reveal 1 "Speed Spell" Card in your hand to apply the following effects.
●4 Counters: Inflict 800 damage to your opponent.
●7 Counters: Draw 1 card.
●10 Counters: Destroy 1 card on the field.

Discuss if you want.

What's to discuss, its a complete lockdown for spell cards that will never be released except in a completely butchered form, if that.

You do realize there would be a ruling saying that you cannot play Speed World 2 if the opponent's deck doesnt contain Speed world 2, as once you play it it would also force the opponents to activate, thus, it would be a full fledged turbo duel.

the game version is a little more balanced than the anime version imo

Obviously it has to be.

But Speed Burn in Wc10 doesn't exactly go over well.

Kinda it is not difficult to get SCounters...

Overboost adds 6...XD

But your forced to run lots of Sp Spells

Speeaking of which Summon Close is my favourite one (The WC2010 version obviusly)

I don't like the following about this card:
• It can allow your opponent to use broken cards provided they wait 5-6 turns (or less, if they use accelerating cards) and don't use other cards that spend Speed Counters.
• It has effects dealing outside of speed. Personally, I don't think the card should be able to affect the duel other than affect Speed Counters.

At least the video game version requires you to use "Speed Spells", which does add to the strategy: do you want to rely on traps that can activate regardless of speed, or use Speed Spells to use Speed World 2's effect? That's pretty much the only thing I like.

Personally, I think the field spell should be more like this:

Speed World 3
Field Spell
Spell Cards other than "Speed Spell" cards cannot be activated. During each player's Standby Phases, each player places 1 Speed Counter of their own on this card (up to 12 each). If your opponent's Life Points change, if they have [8?] or more Speed Counters, you can reveal any number of "Speed Spell" cards in your hand to reduce the number of Speed Counters they have by the number of cards you revealed.

I don't know what number I should put between the brackets. I'm thinking 8, but I'm not quite sure.
I figure, this way, you can help control if your opponent can use "Speed Spell" versions of broken spells, you have to use Speed Spells for their effects if you choose to use that effect, and you don't affect anything other than Speed Counters.

Anyway, D•Hero Diamond Dude is hilarious in Turbo Duels. Bypass the costs, conditions, and the Speed Counter stuff and just use the effect.

Your card is worse than Speed World 1, that did exactly what you want it to make...

I do have a couple complaints about the original:
• you didn't have any incentives to use Speed Spells
• Your opponent could effectively keep you in low speed lockdown with high burn cards

I want to make it such that:
• Speed Spells are necessary for using the ignition effects
• it has no effects outside of manipulating Speed Counters
• it lets your opponent keep a decent amount of Speed Counters

Any way you can make a Speed World card that does all the things I wish of it?

Okay, how about this:

Speed World 3
Field Spell
Spell Cards other than "Speed Spell" cards cannot be activated. During each player's Standby Phases, each player places 1 Speed Counter of their own on this card (up to 12 each). If your opponent's Life Points change, if they have 7 or more Speed Counters, you can reveal any number of "Speed Spell" cards in your hand to reduce the number of Speed Counters they have by up to twice the number of cards you revealed this way. Your opponent's Speed Counters can't be reduced to less than 3 this way.
