-Griffin
I might be main-Decking Volc. Queen, Lava Golemn, and some extra way to flip things face-down (I'm pretty sure that would remove all overlaid cards). Oh, and Reptilliane Vaskii tributes things for a cost. That Deck of mine will finally be tier 1.

Fraz
It would be interesting to use soul exchange or enemy controller type cards and put the opponents monsters somewhere they have no access to them at all anymore. Obv it depends on how good excess monsters end up being.

Icy
Excess Monsters: This card cannot be summoned except by tributing 1 or more monsters who's levels are the same and equal the level of this card. When this card is summoned, place 1 Excess Counter on this card for every card tributed to summon this card. Monsters used to summon this card can not be targetted or used while in the Graveyard as long as the Excess Monster has Excess Counters on it. When this card would be removed from the field by card effect or battle, remove 1 Excess Counter instead. Granted that'd clutter the card to high hell, but it isn't exactly a new thing... Icy
[To Exceed Summon an Excess Monster you must release a number of monsters on the field with combined levels equal to the Level of the Excess Monster. Additionally, all monsters released must have the same Level as each other, and at least 2 monsters must be Released. For a Level 8 Excess Monster you must release either 2 Level 4 monsters, 4 Level 2 monsters or 8 Level 1 monsters.] So I messed it up a little lol... Still a preexisting thing. Just fancied up. (1 or more monsters) lmao.
Toffee.
Exceed Monsters will probably be like Toon/Spirit/Geminis, in which Konami prints ALL of the facts about them on the card. Microscopic texts, here we come.

But with any luck this'll change the need to have tiny text and just rule it automatically (but what about cards that break the Spirit standard like Izanagi?). (union = friendship/twins = gemini).
This is what I was getting it. The "rule" is printed on each card, and can be adjusted at will depending on how over or underpowered they want an Excess monster to be. Because its not "official for every card", they can just re-work the effect for each one.

Zkaiser
I don't think that they will print it. Fusions don't say that they need an extra card to summon them. But then again knowing how stupid kids are (Is Obelisk a Ritual monster? derp) konami will print the text on every one even though we only need for about two sets. Legend Zero
Put it in the rule book...then have the cards say Pyro/Effect/Excess If kids don't know then they have to READ!? Its the same with Synchros, the cards don't say how to literally make them...just specific requirements.

Zkaiser
Or they could colour them Red. Since its the only colour they haven't used yet.. Except for Slifer
I and a friend of mine actually thought of that as well. I don't think they will be the same color since new summoning mechanics always get a new color. Transformation Monsters would have been pink. Fusions are purple, etc, etc. I'm just glad Konami is starting to streamline this game. It took them forever to remove the ritual requirements from the monsters. It's Konami's fault for introducing jargon. I'm still waiting for Piercing to become standard.
