We are 4 months into the current format. Late format like this we've seen trap stun rise and fall from prominence and royal decree/book of moon used in conjunction with each other. If you want to be taken seriously as a competitive duelist you have to have 2 solemn warnings and 2-3 Pot of Dualities in main. 3 Gravekeeper decks took 1st,2nd and 3rd in this format at a historic YCS.

We've seen the hints konami has dropped through their product releases - Archlord Kristya is in a structure deck that we will more than likely get most of the cards in. Mirror Force is a common. Six Sams are getting good support. Dark End Dragon went from $1200 to $10.

How much are your gateways of the six going to be worth after March 1st? Will it get hit?

The OCG FINALLY got X Sabers - what are they in store for? We know that konami pretty much treats TCG as the stepchild and their baby is the OCG. What's happening over there? What decks are topping big events? What cards are being ran in multiples in the OCG decks? Pot of duality is a super over there and it was ran at 3 in light beatdowns long before they were netdecked into existence here.

Is Monster Reborn staying? Is Heavy coming back?

My opinion is that reborn is going. Heavy is not coming back. Kristya will go to 1. Mirror force may actually be banned now. Gateway will go to 1 and Sabers will get nailed to the wall with fault to 1, darksoul to 2.

Besides having my judgment and obvious lack of knowledge blasted as usual could you respond with what you know is happening with the Legendary sams in OCGland?

By request I'm making an update and including a master banlist that when we reach a general consensus I'll come back to the OP and update it. Unless several of us agree on a certain card I'm not including it. Or if it's Seph or Pika I will include it purely out of fear. :unsure: Some of the ones I'm posting now will be deleted as I begin to include our general consensus.

Apparently you didn't learn from the last topic. It got locked BTW.

First off, theres another set being released which will entirely change the momentum of the game into a dust tornado / MST format again. They may even decide to squeeze in EXVC.

In spite of that, I'm going out on a limb to say Konami will be nice to Lightsworns either by bumping Lumina to 2 or Necro Gardna to 2.

you're talking about extreme victory? What cards are in that set that made you think that. Something to note is that we will get that set before our nationals and it seems there's always a set that breaks the national format and makes it all crazy like dark strike did with cat synchro or dark soul did with sabers.

No info on the OCG? What's happening there will have a tremendous impact on our next format. It always does.

Oh I just want more information on how the current state of the OCG will impact our next list - we touched on that somewhat in that locked topic - if it shouldn't be continued or isn't worth discussing then I understand.

It would benefit all of you to know this ahead of time however.

I can see the truth in that statement. My statement is too broad and far reaching to really take into account all competitive decks. However I'd counter by cutting an pasting a dozen or so top decklists backfields - the top 16s at several YCS events might disagree with you. Actually if someone could do that I'd certainly appreciate it. I may be mistaken. (wait how about we make a new topic debating that?)

Yeah they don't get Darksoul for what? another month? This is the information I'm digging for here. What does the OCG look like? I can go on shriek but usually on large? sites like this you have several people who watch - if not participate in the OCG.

so based on the fact they don't have Darksoul yet - it's very highly unlikely darksoul will be at any less than 3 in March. and since sabers won't take off - it's highly unlikely they'll be hit at all.

they won't get darksoul until mid to late 2011 (because we only have 3 sets worth of TCG exclusives atm and Extra packs have 4 sets worth of TCG exclusives), so i think it'll be hit about september 2011 or march 2012

Emmers and Fulhelm won't even be mentioned to be on the banlist over there because X-Sabers aren't popular just yet but trust me you'll see X-Sabers grace the new Limit list in the OCG.

Hmm..I really don't know what to say about this. I was going to say It could be used to search out Airbellum..But then I thought Faultroll. I've never played X-sabers, so I don't know what thier key cards are. Though Airbellum is 1600 atk Lv3 tuner with a hand destruction effect, we could see Darksoul be Semi-limited. Excuse my newbieness with X-sabers, I don't know anything about them other than Airbellum.

they've been tier 1 for about 3 formats (i think) and i think BWW should be banned

No to everything here.

You see the problem here is, well you may think the card is good, because they are @3, putting them to 2 isn't going to slow them down at all. If you wanted to impact a card that is being run frequently in smaller quantities (solemn warning for example) than you put it to 1.

Most people only put 1 Catastor in their sides, and for Skill Drain..... who uses this anymore?

But I'd update with what Shard of Stardust said. Everything there seems good to me and others have agreed.

Catastor? I run DARKS so I don't know how annoying it is to get rid of. I don't often see it, I think Konami will just Ignore it for now.
Black Rose Dragon? Yeah, @3 was a bit of a mistake, @2 would be fine.
