I don't know any places that host Locals near South London. My "Locals" are just tournaments that the TCG players at school organize.

Much like me. Including me there's only about 3 meta players there :/

No actually, I don't understand the joke/pun...

OT: My locals are good because it's the biggest monthly Yu-Gi-Oh event in Britain, and there are loads of great players there. I also have a Hobby League every week which I go to which is only small but the regulars are all good players so it's more competitive than the average Hobby League.

Because half the people there haven't read a rulebook or something. Some guy came to the last one witha duel disk...he'd learned how to play from the GX anime >_>

Sounds like my locals.

Which is why I don't go there.

Haven't been to my locals since last year
It means for 9 days...

I didn't get that because I don't care about the new year, I hardly even noticed. It's just the same crap at school except we write a different date...

My locals has several people that have topped national events, and a few that have won them in games that aren't yugioh (Magic, L5R, Huntik, Warcraft, etc...). Loads of noobs who have more money than sense and every deck gets played with most people changing decktypes for each week. Theft has never been a huge problem, very few people are fat, usually there's a 360 or PS3 set up for street fighter, occasionally some cosplay twats show up, occassionally we go get hammered after tourny ends.

they understand the rules and are civil enough to check rulings instead of bitching at each other.
Similar to my locals. Most of the time, but we get a few little kids from time to time who don't understand how to play well. We have less then 10 people show up. No one there has topped nat or anything like that, but most of them are good.
