Seems like the cards you care about negating with this effect are cards that are already negated by chivalry.

Yeah, but this card can be used any time making it much more versatile.

Vayu, Plague, Mezuki, Veiler, Spore, Glow Up, Treeborn, etc...

we just got a common in STOR similar to this - Tyrant's temper? I like this card. I agree that it's a side staple. I'll say something flame-worthy here - konami's attention has shifted to where they've released a lot of resources lately - Honest/skull meister/effect veiler/swift scarecrow/gorz/battle fader

If Hand and Yard resources have konami's direct attention (this is never good for those cards) then we will see a shift in their attitude in the banlist towards cards that are widely used - Honest/Battle Fader/Effect Veiler

Effect Veiler was just released as a single rare - reprint possibly means banlist attendance at some level.

The fact it negates ryko, spy, hamster, snowman, as well as dandy, sangan, honest, etc... makes chivalry much more versitile. Obv its not a bad card but depending on the format one is better than the other. Just happens that right now chivalry is better.
