Have we really gotten such overpowered cards in today's Meta that potentially wiping your opponent's field of monsters with a level 4 monster carrying 1600 ATK is a weak effect? If that's so, then this game has been destroyed.

Let's make a deal, Konami. You can Limit this if you also Limit Tsukuyomi. k?

That would be a valid point if it weren't for the fact that Dark Hole not only shouldn't exist at 1, but also could have a downside to it. Meaning in certain situations Tribe is better. Especially when considering you could revive Tribe to use its effect again.

You are aware that Dark Hole didn't make a dent in the meta? In addition, it helps to keep reckless overextending under control.

60 card themeless highlander is amazing. You can run a bunch of random good cards, and it's impossible to side against.

It's funny how 60CTH is becoming a theme, so it has to actually be called 60CH now.

OT: Would probably be fine @1, most of the time Six Sams win before you can make this card have a huge impact on them, plus the fact that this is @0 and Dark Hole is @1, which is completely flawed logic.

I don't follow the Meta too closely, but I do know that 7/10 times I duel with my fun decks I end up losing because of people pulling out BS like this. And you can say all day that Dark Hole at 1 hasn't made a "noticeable impact", but when you start adding more cards like it you're adding more chance for them to make one. That's like saying "Well, Graceful Charity didn't make an impact, so let's add in Pot of Greed." Or worse yet, "Dark Hole at 1 isn't making much of a difference, let's put it at 3".

My main reason for hating Dark Hole and Black Rose Dragon is that they not only punish you for playing a ton of monsters at once, but they also punish you for being ahead of the opponent in general, or for playing defensively. Slower decks are taken down instantly. Except for the defensive bit, Tribe Infecting Virus does the same thing. Causes your opponent to have a lucksack that makes you lose everything you worked hard to put down on the field.

Any card that can give you a sudden, overwhelming advantage without great cost is a card bad for the game.

A lot of problems come to play with this card. The most obvious one is its a lv4 Normal Summon monster that can destroy things with a simple discard. This usually gets the big question mark. The least that can happen is a +0 and the worst can be +4. The other thing about this card is, it's not once per turn. It can literally wipe all face-up monsters your opponent controls. Although most decks use single-type oriented Decks and Archetypes, making it even more OP. It's like a more certain more potentially destructive Snipe Hunter with 100 more ATK (although can only target face-up monsters). A lot of possible strategies can be used with this card.

People here are overeacting to this card's banned status and its old reputation.
There is more than enough in the game to counter this card. From Warning, Solemn and Summon negating effects, all the way to destruction negating effects like My body as a Shield, Stardust Dragon and all its variants, Prime Material Dragon, and even it might help Starlight Road be used more often.

The opponent will not provide overextention/many targets unless he or she:
a)Is pushing for game
b)Has enough protection to keep them.
c)Is not very good at the game.

If the need to discard multiple times and suceed at it ever happens in a Duel. Then, chances are that the opponent has many monsters with different Types, in which case its just plain 1 for 1 removal above a regular (and hardly ever used) Snipe Hunter.

I'm not saying its a bad card of course. I think it could be at 1 for test.

I've seen this card in discussions before, kind of like when people started talking about Chaos Sorcerer and Dark Hole prior to their unbanning. Isn't September the only time Konami allows itself to touch the ban list? O_o
