burnpsy
I dunno, but I know that more people seem to be going for D-Prison. I think I should have more GK hate in my Side Deck. Back when Legend Zero tested, that was the main threat. Switched a Scarecrow for a 3rd Puppet Plant. This deck seriously loses badly to Necrovalley unless I get AFD in there immediately. Royal Tribute also hurts with 23 monsters.
Brandon Michael Geren
Why isn't Morphing Jar necessary? Is it because of Hyper Librarian?
burnpsy
Librarian pretty much gave me a darw engine, yeah. There's also the fact that I'm usually using my Normal Summon for other stuff, and that my opponents spend their entire hand a lot. I kept drawing it, but I didn't play it at all. :S
Dad
Needs room for second Formula.

burnpsy
Need to replace the RftDD in the main with something more consistent. While Birdmand and Remoten RFP stuff, it's usually pure coincidence if there's a combo RFP'd. Suggestions for the slot? Mind Control? Move Book to Main? 3rd Birdman?
Sunshine Jesse
I'd say you should move Book to main.
Brandon Michael Geren
I want to see Mind Control and Book tbh. Mind Control more just because you haven't tested it yet and it seems like it'll be pretty good. With 8 Tuners, Mind Control will be really good, especially with all of the searching. burnpsy
@RBoD: I run 9 Tuners. In any case, I tried both. both test good. :S Going with Mind Control for now. Should I use No. 34 Electronic Computer-Beast Tera Byte? I can summon it with triple Remoten, among other, more dfficult plays. Gottoms has been brought out a lot by Formula + Fortress lately, though. It just looks like something useful.
.Nu-13
It would be best to just test it.
burnpsy
First test hand: Set Boarden, let 'em kill it. Celfon into Scopen. Bounce Celfon for Birdman. Junk Box Boarden. Remaining cards in hand: Celfon, Junk Box, Lighton, Limiter Removal. :S Fourth test hand: Set Scopen and let 'em kill it. Dump Remoten and Fortress for Fortress. Junk Box, who removes Scopen to add Scopen to my hand. Normal summon Scopen, bounce Fortress for Birdman. Remaining cards in hand: Map, Limiter Removal. :S :S Err... I assume that's a confirmation on running it? Over Gottoms, I guess?
.Nu-13
Seems like that. Really, getting out 3 Level 3s here is far easier than requirements for Gottoms
burnpsy
Seems like that. Really, getting out 3 Level 3s here is far easier than requirements for Gottoms
But 3 level 3s are the requirements for Gottoms. Gottoms gets summoned either with Dupe + Remoten or with Formula + Fortress. This change makes Formula + Fortress a dead play, but whatever. I get the requirements for Tera Byte too easily. Tera Byte can also use Birdman
1 Birdman and/or Scopen is allowed for Gottoms. The Tuner doesn't have an attribute requirement. Oh, and Gaia Knight + Tuner also makes Gottoms, but whatever. I'll add Tera Byte now. Exceeds don't get summon chants, do they? :/ I'm adding one anyways.
.Nu-13
Exceeds... no so far. It doesn't stop you from making one
burnpsy
Since I just squeezed an Exceed in anyways, should I try to put Mainspring Armored Zenmeister in here?
Brandon Michael Geren
You can also get out Gottoms with Scrap Dragon + Lighton. Or Burei + Formula. Also, test it with extra synchros and keep track of which ones you use and how often you use them. Like just eliminate the extra on YVD and use tokens and decide from every synchro in the game which you want to use and then keep a tally.
burnpsy
Trying RBoD's idea got these results:
Monster - Amount of times summoned XX-Saber Gottoms #1 - 11 Stardust Dragon #1 - 10 Ancient Fairy Dragon #1 - 9 No. 34 Electronic Computer-Beast Tera Byte #1 - 9 Red Dragon Archfiend #1 - 9 Colossal Fighter #1 - 8 Formula Synchron #1 - 8 Scrap Dragon #1 - 8 T.G. Hyper Librarian #1 - 8 Thought Ruler Archfiend #1 - 8 Armory Arm #1 - 6 Karakuri Shogun mdl 00 "Burei" #1 - 6 T.G. Hyper Librarian #2 - 6 Ancient Sacred Wyvern #1 - 5 Genex Ally Triforce #1 - 5 Arcanite Magician #1 - 4 Gaia Knight, the Force of Earth #1 - 3 Shooting Quasar Dragon #1 - 3 Black Rose Dragon #1 - 2 Formula Synchron #2 - 2 Shooting Star Dragon #1 - 2 Ally of Justice Catastor #1 - 1 Armory Arm #2 - 1 No. 17 Revise Dragon #1 - 1 Red Nova Dragon - 1 T.G. Blade Blaster #1 - 1 T.G. Halberd Cannon #1 - 1 T.G. Hyper Librarian #3 - 1
But just grabbing the top 15 here would be stupid. Just being able to summon it easily doesn't make it better than something lower on the list. For example, Quasar/Shooting Star/SSD >>>> Triforce. Plus, most of that is turn 1 solitaire. Thoughts on any possible changes to the Extra Deck based on this? IMO, I should leave it be, except for maybe squeezing Gottoms in. Anyone see space? burnpsy
BUMP As I said I want space for Gottoms, due to all of the miscellaneous methods I use to summon it. No big deal if I can't though.
.Nu-13
Konami should increase Extra Deck size to 20. [s]Drop 1 Librarian?[/s] Forgot that you play Quasar. Dunno actually
wiithepeople
If you didn't use Catastor that much, you should drop it imo. Librarian is too good as a Lv.5.
burnpsy
@wii: Try reading the actual Extra Deck before suggesting the removal of something that isn't there.
.Nu-13
Maybe drop the Red Nova stuff? It's really good only in a deck that easily gets it out in one turn
burnpsy
Scopen -> LV4 -> AFD Play Map, destroy it to revive Scopen, skip Battle Phase to SS Lighton, Dupe Lighton (or revive it later with Junk Box/Reborn) go for RDA, go for Red Nova Celfon -> Dupe Celfon gets Scopen, which pulls out a LV4, go for RDA Celfon/One for One pulls out Lighton, then use a revival spell to bring Scopen back or bounce a Celfon for Birdman go for Red Nova Celfon -> Scopen -> LV4 -> RDA One for One into Lighton, revival spell on Scopen go for Red Nova [s]Start with RDA equipped with Armory Arm (hilariously common, due to moves tending to end with Celfon + Remoten + RDA without Lighton there) Summon Lighton (which Remoten obviously searched last turn), unequip Armory and bounce it for Birdman (or just revive Remoten and do the search if it wasn't done already) go for Red Nova[/s] And don't get me started on when the field starts the turn with the also common double Librarian. :S The problem with it is that half of the ways to summon it can be tweaked to get Quasar. Still merits its slot. Well, whatevs. I'm using the whole Extra Deck effectively. I'll just leave it be. EDIT: Tera Byte's getting played around too much. :/ EDIT2: Switched that for Gottoms. EDIT3: Gave Gottoms a new chant. EDIT4: Gave Halberd Cannon a chant.
