Zorc Valom
It has come to my mind recently that Exodia decks are quickly becoming a thing of the past. I've even gone so far as to rename him "Exodia the Forgotten One." Why don't people run Exodia anymore? Is it just too easy to beat? Or has the banned list utterly destroyed the strategy? Discuss. (While we're at it, what are some good cards that would work well in Exodia?)
Zkaiser
lol Gold Sarc is at 3 Sangodia is best Xodia Lol jk I ran a Lightsworn Exodia deck for a while. Mill the pieces, pick them up. Exodia can also hire Bee List Soldier for some shenanigans My friends and I haven't forgot about Exodia, we're always trying to find ways to utilize him. evilfusion
The problem with Exodia is the game is too fast to sit around collecting pieces, and assembling five limited cards in hand without getting interrupted takes a while. FTK versions are good, but if the combo pieces dont come fast enough, the strategy fails.
Zorc Valom
Gold Sarc is at 2, just checked. Card Trader works great. So do Cyber Valley and PoD. Sangan is the #1 in this type of deck. If you need a little counter ATK, run Muka Muka. Maybe it's been unused because so few have all five pieces...
The problem with Exodia is the game is too fast to sit around collecting pieces, and assembling five limited cards in hand without getting interrupted takes a while. -Griffin
Exodia is bad because it's inconsistent and can't control the flow of the game without botching its win condition.

The pieces are common, the head is a promo. Easy to get online. That IS an FTK (first turn kill). Drawing out the whole deck is the most common strategy of FTK. Kyakan
Exodia is pretty much FTK decks or nothing, and people seem to dislike playing those most of the time. He's still a bamf, just not a common bamf.
-Berserker-
Summon King Tiger Whangu and set 3 Limit Reverse and 1 Call of the Haunted. Next turn, normal summon Sangan...

Skye.
May I suggest using jar of greed, scrap iron scarecrow, infinite cards and magical mallet? Also in exodia decks, sangan is an obvious staple. I don't know if this is called cheating but put all 5 pieces next to each other and if your opponent shuffles really badly (or if you get really lucky), you will pick up 5 consecutive exodia pieces.
Jar of greed is just a filler card if you can't think of better ones to help you draw. Magical Mallet is good, but it only works one turn. Card Trader is a continual redraw. My favorite for exodia (after Sangan) is Cyber Valley. Graveyard recovery, stop attack plus draw, or draw two. I've also thought that Muka Muka, Enraged MM, Tragoedia, and Bottomless Shifting Sand are all good because you will always have cards in your hand. Eibon1307
Another problem with Exoida decks is the fact that, as stated, exodia is limited, so you mostly need a mill deck to get the one set of peices you had. When he was unlimited, you could run 3 sets, and spam a mill deck and after one or two turns of milling, you'd no doubt have all five peices in your grave, then just slowly pull them to your hand. Another thing, with the latest Gemini friendly version of Exodia, people were running GemSworn Exodia decks and would use Gold Sarc to get Exxoidus, mill with Lightsworn, summon Exxodius, remill again, and win. But then Exodia got Limited, and more Anti-graveyard cards came out to stop Exodia decks. D.D and Remove/Return decks are the common enemy of Exodia mills. I've seen some recent Exodia use, but it was for fun and nostalgia only. None of the players truly thought they'd make it far and did it as a fad following on the heels or the Toon revival and the return of First series cards. I for like Exodia, but would only use him if I was wanting to have a laugh. Hopefully 2012 sets will maybe have new support for Old School cards like Dark Magician and Exodia or other cards that have seen little to 0 use in the recent months.
