CommanderVolt
[Card Lore]Each time a Spellcaster-Type monster(s) on the field is destroyed, place 1 Spell Counter on this card (max. 4). You can send this card and 1 face-up Spellcaster-Type monster you control to the Graveyard to draw 1 card for each Spell Counter on this card. Seems a tad slow, (no doubt) but keep in mind that cards which place Spell Counters on the field CAN place them on this card. Im thinking maybe, Apparentice Magician, Apprentice Magiian, Crystal Seer engine. Anyone got anything else for this card? Discuss
Sleepy
Its probably meant for: a) Apprentice Magician (2 Counters if destroyed) > Spell Power Grasp (3 so far) > and maybe hope to get a 4th next turn or just use it with 3 is ok. Activate and immediately remove to draw 4 cards with Magical Citadel's effect. (I think this is the best option but that's just me) by the cost of 1 of your monsters. It has potential but needs smart Deck building. Cards that ask for dedication are sometimes too balanced for [s]abuse[/s] proper use.
Bringerofcake
Wonder Wand outclasses this by miles.
Baroque in Paradise
I wouldn't mind trying to run this one, but it seems like it'd be better to just use the Library or a Jar of Greed/Pot of Avarice instead if I'm looking for draw power.
Hate to break it to you, but the Magical Citadel of Endymion won't work with this card the way you think it would; Endymion lets you use counters from it for an effect that costs Spell Counters, whereas this card's effect's results are based on a number of counters. That is to say, Arcane Barrier does X if its effect is used with Y counters on it, rather than spending Y counters for X effect. I wish it worked like that, but sadly it does not. : /
Giga Hand
Be better if it didn't have a max.
And if you didn't have to Tribute another Spellcaster in order to get the draws. And if it was each time a Spellcaster was removed from the field. CDDRodrigo
Not that much space on decks that already run Wonder Wand, but it's an okay card.
Dr. Cakey
Well, this came out before Wonder Wand, but Wonder Wand's speed means it's far superior. Also it can be searched with Hidden Armory, which makes for some interesting possibilities.
