Phantom Roxas
Simply put, these entries are the first forays into 3D for their respective series. They're widely considered the best entries, but also the most overrated. Let us settle two questions that have probably been answered many times before and likely don't even need to be asked: Which game is better, and which game is more overrated? The battle between Zelda fanboys and Final Fantasy fanboys begins now.
Tourmaline
I'd vote if I'd actually played VII and not Crisis Core alone. Probably can if I wanted to. I'm actually more into FF, but I'm not sure if I'd like VII as much.
Inexplicable Madness
Ocarina of Time was one of the first games ever to begin 3 dimensional video games. In it's time it was amazing, and even now I play the game on my Nintendo 64. I've only played FFVII Crisis Core, so I don't have much to say about the seventh final fantasy game, but it's not near as fun as Zelda. I'm gonna have to say I'm more of a Zelda fan than a Final Fantasy fan even though I still love Final Fantasy. The Legend of Zelda is the better game and Final Fantasy VII is more overrated... 'nuff said.
Blake
FFVII was so overrated, it caused a backlash of FFVI fans to stop the madness... Joker-Esque villain > Prettyboy Also, Ocarina was one of the first games I ever played, and I remember sitting next to my parents, as they played. It had a great plotline, awesome story, and was, honestly, the best game at its time. FF Mystic Quest takes that cake for its time, IMO. It is a bit overrated, but not much, as opposed to FFVII. Amethyst Phoenix
Depends on whether you are asking the degree of overratedness or how often I see people overrating it... Degree - Ocarina Frequency - FFVII I voted for Final Fantasy VII because it's entirely possible the fanbase of a more obscure game like Radiant Silvergun could overrate their game more heavily than Ocarina fans do, but the game would never show-up in a top 10 list of the most overrated games etc. And Ocarina can be revolutionary and still overrated from an enjoyment standpoint for the same reason Citizen Kane can be ranked Number 1 on AFI's top 100 movies. Lonk
Ocarina of Time was revolutionary in it's field as it pioneered the targeting system, which many games still use today. And what did FFVII do again?
