Immortal Chaos
What about a reanimation type of deck, ditch powerful cards to the grave, and then revive them for free. All you really need is Monster Reborn, The Creator, Foolish, and Call, it could be possible, not many really run them so it would be unique. CDDRodrigo
Well, apparently, the best deck is the WATER one. You can drop 1 Fenrir, the Tribe-Infecting Virus which is banned, Change of Heart (banned as well), Royal Decree and Spell-Shattering Arrow. Dwarven King
I thought those two were banned, but I wasn't sure. :< Would you mind pointing out what makes the Water one best? Just curious.
Lemme say this, making decks solely based on attribute alone isn't the best idea. You've got to think of a theme, such as synchro spam, quick monsters with insane attacks, or gettin one monster out quickly. If you want to make a non-archtype deck, the best options I can think of is either Dragon spam (which requires RedRum, which i'm not sure you have) or Junk-Doppel-Plants (Which might be even harder for you to get :/) tl;dr: I have no clue buddy. Also, I noticed in the water deck, but Tribe Infecting Virus is banned. Yeah.
I know it's not the best idea, but the cards I'm using in those decks seem to fit together. Especially the Fire and Water ones. The Machine one is more of a high attack one. Like Cyber Ogre. Get one on the field, in the graveyard, and in my hand. My opponent attacks and I activate the effect of the one on my hand. Now the one on the field has 3900 until the end of it's next battle. Then on my turn I activate Phalanx Pike. Now the one on the field has 5700 until the end of it's next battle. Then it will go down to 3700.
CDDRodrigo
WATER deck has a lot of good sides >Tornado Wall is fun and locks down damage >Having a field spell helps against decks like Dragunity and GKs > You can do good combos with Star Boy to get stronger monsters

Hmm...should I use Hydro Pressure Cannon? Someone in this thread mentioned it, but assumed I didn't have it. I also have Field Barrier, and Battle of the Elements (which could work in either my Water or my Fire).
Ieyasu Tokugawa
I think field barrier conflicts with Levia Dragon(not sure though). You can also side in Either Gozen Match or Rivalry of Warlords(whichever does attributes) to screw over Six Sams a bit more. Not sure what to put in the deck itself. In case you don't know, when I activate it, both sides most destroy monsters until both sides only have ONE attribute on their side. Me making a deck with only one attribute would be fine. Dwarven King
Certain insults, yes. Simply saying one has no skill in no ways helps create a deck. If it does, I'm not seeing it. Besides, I've already apologized to Asterik. I misinterpreted his post. So it looks like I'll be using my Water deck. Especially if there are tag duals. I swarm the field with monsters, my friend summons Elemental Hero Absolute Zero, and we will be rocking. ^^
Chaos Dralcax
Make sure that whatever hand you draw has cards that can work together. Level 4 is the lowest level you should have unless a lower level monster has an awesome effect. (e.g. Heavy Mech Support Platform). Also be prepared for anything. Do not focus on warding off attacks, you might face an opponent who focuses on Effect Damage. Do not rely on Spells and Traps. You might face a Naturia Deck. Also, have more than one trump card in your main deck. As well, find a way to easily Tribute Summon. Ancient Gear Castle, Geartown, Special Summons, anything. You can't expect your opponent to leave your card on the field long enough to play a combo. Also, get some Limited cards, because there's a reason why they were limited. If you're making a deck without archetype focus, then focus on a specific type or attribute.

Dwarven King
Well...I didn't place, BUT...I still had fun AND I beat a couple of good decks! And yes, I used my Water deck. My Tornado Wall was pretty helpful too. Some people were like, "What the hell is that?!" When I first got there, my friend and I sifted through my Water deck. We decided to change a few cards out. We basically added a few traps (like Solemn Judgement) and I added a new monster, Gemini Lancer. After that, I had a practice duel against my friend's Miracle Gemini Hero deck. I was able to beat it ONE time, haha. After that, the tournament started and I faced my friend's little brother. And no...the kid isn't a pushover. He was taught very well...and showed up with his Nordic deck. He had Thor, Loki, EVERYTHING. I was screwed...and still beat him once, haha. My second round was up against a Malefic deck. There were a couple of moves I tried doing that the judges kept saying I couldn't do. I didn't argue since I was the new guy. One move I tried to do (they may have been right about this), was using Divine Wrath on Cyber Dragon. The guy activated Cyber Dragon's effect, I activated Divine Wrath, they said I couldn't do it. But what really made me mad was that my opponent had TWO Malefics on the field at one time. Of course, nobody else caught it because he kept moving his cards around. Plus, every time I successfully took out a Malefic monster, he would remove another original monster from play to summon another Malefic...which was crap. Plus, he seemed to always have another copy of his field spell every time I took his field spell out. All in all, he won. My third round was up against a warrior deck. His deck seemed a bit suspicious, but there really wasn't much I could go off on. During every single round, I would destroy his D.D. Warrior Lady, then his next turn he would somehow have another one in his hand. Plus his high attack Warriors. So I figured he was either stacking, had WAY more than three copies, or he was just getting lucky draws. I found out my answer when he beat me and faced my friend next. In one duel, the guy used FIVE copies on the SAME equip card. In another duel, he used four copies of some card. I forgot what it was. But, my friend still won round one and three, so the match was his. However, the guy claimed they only had TWO rounds, and the judges ruled in his favor. So they had another duel and the guy won...which was crap. Now, my fourth and final match was by far my favorite. I actually faced someone on my level, haha. He was using a fiend deck (around 50ish cards), and was using some awesome Balrog sleeves, which was aweosme! Anyway, our first duel was epicly back and forth. One second I would be winning, then him, then me, then him, etc. One of the most epic things that we did was I summoned something when his field was cleared, and he activated Solemn Judgement. Then I was like, "Well I counter your Solemn Judgement with my Solemn Judgement!" And he was like, "FFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Eventually, he was down to 200 life points, and I had 400 life points. He drew the card he needed and won. Our second duel wasn't even a real duel. My draws SUCKED. My first hand was Daedalus (7 star) and Fenrir (I need two waters in the graveyard to summon him), and the rest were spells and traps. Then...for like 4-5 turns straight, I drew nothing but spells and traps. Most of them were A Legendary Ocean, Terraforming, etc. Basically, I couldn't even put up a fight and lost. But, I still had fun. And after all that was over, major trading went down. There were like...20 of us people in there, and we were all trading, haha. I got rid of my Dark Magician (my friend has it), my Blue Eyes (some random guy has it), and a bunch of others. After the dust settled and trading was done, I reconstructed my Water deck. Now it is as follows. MONSTERS: x1 Royal Knight of the Ice Barrier x1 Fenrir x1 Gemini Lancer x1 Levia-Dragon - Daedalus x1 Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus x1 Mother Grizzly x1 Star Boy x1 Spined Gillman x1 Jowls of Dark Demise x2 Warrior of Atlantis (I got the second one from my friend, and it's holo'd like mine! ) x1 Armed Sea Hunter x3 Deep Sea Diva x1 Mobius the Frost Monarch x1 Genex Ally Remote SPELLS: x1 Salvage x1 Giant Trunade x1 Water Hazard x1 Hydro Pressure Cannon x1 Swords of Revealing Light x3 A Legendary Ocean x1 Terraforming TRAPS: x1 Skill Successor x1 Divine Wrath x1 Magic Cylinder x1 Compulsory Evacuation Device x1 Trap Dustshoot x1 Magic Jammer x1 Torrential Tribute x1 Dust Tornado x1 Tornado Wall x1 Trap Hole x1 Solemn Judgement x1 Black Horn of the Heaven x1 Magical Arm Shield (thinking of scraping this card for something else) x1 Draining Shield EXTRA DECK (yes, I've added synchros) x1 Locomotion R-Genex (I'll explain in a moment) x2 Frozen Fitzgerald x1 Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier So, I have Gungnir because he is an awesome Water Synchro. I also got two Fitzgeralds because it was a good deal and they are good. But, Fitzgerald can only be summoned with a Dark Turner. The only one I could find was a Genex one. So when I added it to my deck, I remembered I have Locomotion R-Genex. So I thought to myself, "Hey, there may be a time where I'm better off summoning Locomotion instead of Fitzgerald." So I added him to my side deck. What do you guys think?
Ieyasu Tokugawa
Well let me comment on the matches. 1st match: Wish you would've given more detaile :/ 2nd match: Cydra isn't an effect, just a inherent Summon, so they were correct. I'd like to know how he got 2 Malefics, because I'm pretty sure that goes agains rulings. Also, Malefics work by pulling beaters out of nowhere, so the best way to get rid of them is to destroy the field spell. 3rd match: 5 copies!? You should've reported that right away. 4th match: The reason we were trying to give you the advice we did was so you would avoid dead hands like that. Then again, you only had 3 days and were out of the game for so long. If you're going to continue with yugioh, you're gonna want to get more synchros really. People usually just fill the Extra Deck with whatever they can. Imo, trading your DM and Blue-Eyes were probably good ideas, depending on what you got for them. Dwarven King
1st match: Basically he was using the synchro that can be summoned from the grave in the end phase. I eventualy got rid of that card...and he summoned another 4000 attack synchro. Not much else to add. 2nd match: One, I figured I. Was wrong, but wanted to check. Two, the judges were siding with the locals. And three, every time I destroyed his field spell, he had another one out. 3rd match: Again, the judges were siding with the locals. 4th match: I played around 14 duels. Only once did I get dead draws. I traded my DM for Dungnir, 3 Deep Sea Divas (holo), Skill Successor, Mobius, and something else. I also threw in another card and 6 dollars. But that was a trade with my friend, and he always gives me great deals. He's currently collecting all copies of DM girl (I'm going to buy them off of him) and he may trade me his Mist Wurm. But he won't let me touch his Penguin Soldiers...and he has like 5! D:Also, what do you think of my upgraded Water deck?

So I added him to my side deck. What do you guys think?
Alright, don't worry, I can put myself on this level of play. This level of competition is really where I am in real life. On DN I can pretend to be a pro. So let me do some brief deck analysis. 1. Neo-Daedalus. The one time you summon it will not be worth the three times you lost because it was a dead draw and the ten times you drew it and never used it. 2. You have 17 monsters. Gemini Heroes have 13 or so, so it could be that the appearance of your friend's deck is rubbing off on the way you play. But unlike Heroes, your deck has no ability to search monsters, so you have to rely only on what you draw. 20 monsters would be a minimum; I'd recommend 21-22. 3. This is something many people forget to mention when explaining the theory of deck construction, but it's vitally important. You have a wide variety of cards, but many of them are subpar (and by that I mean subpar on this tier of play, let alone competitively) - I'd single out Magic Jammer, Skill Successor, and maybe Draining Shield as examples of these. You're limited by your card collection I know, but I'm sure you have multiple copies of a few of those cards. Just having three Mother Grizzlies would make the deck far stronger by increasing consistency and serving as a meat-shield. Some other cards you should double or triple if possible are: Salvage (probably two, not three), Compulsory Evacuation Device, Spined Gillman (searchable by Mother Grizzly!), and maybe Armed Sea Hunter, just for high ATK. You might consider two copies of Divine Wrath as well. EDIT: Apparently I'm a successful member. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, some effects allow you to use one less tribute than required or tribute summon on the same turn the tributes are sommoned, or even escape tributing monster cards altogether (Ancient Gear Castle). Or you could just Special Summon. 4. Well, duh, that should be obvious. I didn't think it would be necessary. Oh and, did somebody seriously run 4 copies of a card and call it reverse limited?
