Fanboying/Fangirling over Anime/Game/Manga/whatever characters

Well, considering how I was the original Makoto fangirl of this forum... I'm proud to say that I'm a Makoto and Kokonoe fangirl. In my honest opinion, fanboying and fangirling is something to be done moderately lightly; any more will tend to make people who originally liked said fan object become more inclined to stop interacting with it. People who OVERDO it also make themselves look like a complete idiot, also.

I'm not in such a trance for Sephiroth or his antagonistic qualities. I do, however, enjoy the Black Mages' One-Winged Angel every once in a while. Not even that sparsely, actually.

I have no excessive obsession with any characters in specific, either. The username is because my friend harshly recommended upon it. My avatar and signature change on occasion.

One-Winged Angel is one of the best-composed tracks in not only Final Fantasy VII, but in the entire franchise.

hur hur tifa is mad hot yo

Fanboyism towards a certain character is actually quite retarded... and I don't understand the point of it. They are fictional characters created by humans; it's not like they have their own personalities or their own speech. It's all created, so why even bother favoring one over the other?

This lol. That being said, I am a proud Mortal Kombat Fanboy. If you ever have a problem with it, take it up with Shao Kahn's Hammer.

I enjoy a few fictional characters from games, shows, and books. Does that make me weird? O.o

Enjoying one or two fictional characters due to the quality of their creation does not make you weird. This does.

I'm a major fangirl over Manigoldo from Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, also Shura and lately the Deathmask x Shura x Aphrodite pairing. Also Albafica for a while, but he's mostly...a perfect lonely guy, too pretty to be true but Manigoldo interests me more. I'm usually fangirling over various Saint Seiya characters at some time.

Other than that, I'm a MAJOR fangirl over my favourite music group 2NE1, especially one of the members, CL.

Yes they're creations, including music groups which are partially creations of their companies, but damn good ones.<3 I don't sleep with or marry pillows of them or start throwing insults on everyone who disagrees, but I admit that I'm a fangirl when it comes to some people/things.

I don't find a problem with liking a character as long as it isn't some sort of weird obsession you go crazy with. People usually have favorite characters when they read books or watch anime. Who doesn't have a favorite pokemon? What's the problem with grouping them all up and figuring out what your favorites of them all are? I'm a fan of Shizuo Heiwajima from Durarara! He ties with Tatsuma Hiyuu from Tokyo Majin as my favorite anime character. In fact, they're my favorite characters from anything.

Yeah, I openly admit the fact that I'm a Makoto Nanaya fanboy. However I can't bear to listen to those damn Sephiroth Fans who won't shut the hell up about "he's the best final fantasy villan loolololol" "he's so awesome lloolololololloollolololo" Oh well, Opinions will be opinions. Discuss.

I don't mind fanboys/girls unless they start saying "Punch them through the damn moon!" every other sentence.

Yeah...this.

If they're portrayed consistently they should have recurring beliefs and behaviors.

Good, because I like Bartimeas (sp?), Drizzt, Joker (newest one), Nel, Lelouch, Light...that's all I can think of right now. :3
