i love vanillas (and making them) just for the stories that come with them...
the game today doesn't use as many vanillas as it used too

this is a good defense... even though it has no DEF
It's not a Level 4, so it cant be effected by Level Limit - Area B
in fact... this card would love Level Limit - Area A

Seems balanced to me:
9/10

(I like zombies ;) )

Well, it is OP'ed

Love the reasonings that you didin't provide. It's probably something like this: IT NEEDS A DRAWBACK, BAWWW, ATK TOO HIGH, BAWWW, USUAL SCRUBBISH S**T POSTED IN RC, BAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW.

couldnt the reaper be an effect monster that could only be summoned with the sculpture card...
and level 4 cause 2400-0 level 3??
no because that completely misses the point of this card, and that would pretty much make it another crappy ritual

I like how people are calling the vanilla broken while ignoring the spell that fetches it from anywhere but the banish zone.

I'm caught between whether I think the support spell's a tad broken with the "SS from Graveyard" part, or the "SS from Deck" part.

Make it Lv5, otherwise OP'd.

If you're going to post "lolOP'd", give a reason or people can assume you have no idea what you're talking about and a spammer posting your daily +1's to get more stars.

BUT IT IS OVERPOWERED! YOU CAN EASILY KILL BATTLE FOOTBALLER, THEN PROTECT IT FROM ATTACKS WITH MAGIC CYLINDER! IT SHOULD BE A LEVEL 7 EFFECT MONSTER THAT REQUIRES 1050 LIFE POINTS AND DISCARDING 5 CARDS TO ATTACK.

Elaborate

As for the monster itself, the rule for ATK in YGO is currently cap level 3's at 1700 and cap level 4's at 2000. Having a normal summonable monster that breaks 2400 is unhealthy to the rule and unhealthy to the game in general, especially considering it's a zombie that can be searched by turtle/goblin etc.

And then the spell just makes it worse. Bringing out a 2400 for no cost from anywhere is idiotic and shouldn't exist, not to mention it's a quickplay which gives it too much utility.

Odds are it won't be overpowered or anything in the current metagame (but it probably will), but regardless it's just dumb card design.

Logic is solid, although you realize that this card was made to mess with RC people whose top priority in everything is ATK?

Wording/Grammar = 9/10
Creativity = 15/20
Balance = 22/30
Viability = 34/40

80% = B+

Congratulations! You have the second highest grade I've ever given to a card using Alfred's Reviewing Scheme! Take a +rep as a reward!

The wording and grammar is flawless on both cards, the flavour text is nicely written, etc. You only drop marks for the fact that there wasn't much to get wrong - there was no long effect, no complex custom OCG - it was an easy job to get a high mark, basically. That being said I often find that flavour text is littered with grammatical errors, so you retain a very high mark for being better than the competition. The concept in itself is a creative one - no one ever thinks to break the famous L4-2000 barrier, especially not in such a drastic way as you yourself did. And then to make the card a Level 3?! It's very strange, but also quite intriguing. The fact that you gave it its own support card that summons it from anywhere except the banished zone too is a strange but also clever idea. It gives it more depth than simply being a "better Gene-Warped Warwolf". You only drop marks because although the concepts you used are very nice, there isn't much more other than the raw concepts. You don't expand on or refine them much. Despite that, you still keep a very solid mark. In terms of balance, you set your average (-ly idiotic) RC reviewer's HE BROKE A RULE OMG BROKEN alarm into overdrive. People don't like change, especially when you drastically go against something that even most card-makers have abided by since 1996. But the average RC reviewer has little grasp of the current metagame. They don't understand the speed levels and the lightning-quick strategies that are rife in the current TCG climate. ATK doesn't mean as much as it used to and hasn't done for a while. Being summoned from anywhere by a Spell is commonplace rather than broken. Your card is not broken at all, merely a tad overpowered in some slight respects. I'll go into more detail in the viability review.

Because this card is such a special case, I feel it requires its own paragraph on viability. The support spell gives it flexibility beyond it being a simple beatstick - it allows it to be used as material for Xyz and Synchro summons, as a free tribute, etc. But activating the spell, even when summoning it from an advantage-free zone like the Graveyard or Deck is in itself a +0. No real cost. You lose a card from your hand, you gain one on the field. Just like a standard summon from the hand, except it carries a certain degree of situational factor. It requires two cards to be in the right place at the right time. Even running both of the cards at 3 cannot effectively guarantee this. But before you shake your head and think "broken", Elegant Egotist is exactly the same. Elegant Egotist and Harpie Lady work in exactly the same way. And this card isn't even part of an archetype. This card has two mainstream uses - summon it (situational, mind) and Synchro or Xyz summon, or summon it, attack with its Level 3 LOLATK and then Synchro or Xyz with it in your Main Phase 2. You can use it to counter cards like Cyber Dragon that are summoned as aggressive, quick beatsticks. It can be run in Gemini decks. It's support spell complements it very well. You get a high viability mark for those reasons.
