(GigaDrillBreaker)
Okay this is my second topic and this time I decided to make an archetype based on the Greek Gods. These are for my upcoming booster-pack "Rise of the Olympians" (ROLP). ROLP will contain other cards too so feel free to give suggestions. I am making more, just having a hard time finding good pictures. Please leave feedback and be specific. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing 2 face-up "Olympian" monsters. Discard 1 "Olympian" monster to destroy all face-up cards on your opponent's side of the field. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing 2 face-up "Olympian" monsters. Discard 1 "Olympian" monster to destroy all face-down cards on your opponent's side of the field. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by tributing 2 face-up "Olympian" monsters. Once per turn you can banish one monster in your graveyard to special summon a monster from your opponent's graveyard to your side of the field in face-up attack position. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding an equip spell card. Once per turn, instead of drawing, you may search your deck for 1 equip spell card and add it to your hand. Your deck is then shuffled. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by paying 2000 life points. As long as this card is face-up on the field, the defense points of all face-up monsters is treated as zero. When this card attacks a defense-position monster, inflict piercing damage. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by sending the top 3 cards of your deck to the graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, neither player can set any monster cards. Once per turn, you can look at a random card from your opponents hand. If it is a monster, deal 800 damage to your opponent. If it is a spell card, you lose 800 life points. If it is a trap card, both players discard all cards in their hands. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by sending three trap cards you control to the graveyard. Once per turn, you can tribute one monster to take control of an opponent's monster whose level is less than or equal to the level of the monster tributed. Lore: Each time an "Olympian" monster's effect is activated, draw one card. In addition, ignore the part of the effect of all "Olympian" monsters that prevents them from being normal summoned. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding all cards in your hand except for this card. Once per turn, during your draw phase, you can draw one card in addition to your normal draw. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by combining your banish pile with your deck. As long as there is another monster on the field of this card's controller, this card cannot be selected as an attack target. As long as this card is face-up on the field, decrease the atk points of all opponents monsters by 500. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding a card when you take 1000 or more battle damage from one attack.card. Each time your opponent's monster attacks, you may negate the attack and choose a different monster on your side of the field as an attack target. As long as this card remains face-up on the field, whenever an opponent's monster attacks 1 of your DEF position monsters with an ATK lower than the DEF of the monster being attacked, destroy the attacking monster. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by destroying all cards in your spell and trap card zone. Once per turn, you can pay 500 life points to have this card attack directly. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding an "Olympian" monster. This card cannot be selected as an attack target as long as "Olympian: Zeus the Thunderer" is face-up on your side of the field. Increase the attack of all "Olympian" monsters (excluding this card) by 800 points. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding a card when an "Olympian" monster is in the graveyard. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. If this card is targeted by a trap card, it is destroyed instantly. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding a card when an "Olympian" monster is in the graveyard. If this card destroys an opponent's monster as a result of battle increase the ATK of this card by 300. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by discarding a card when an "Olympian" monster is in the graveyard. If this card battles with a Lvl 7 or higher monster, increase it's ATK by 1000 points Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by paying 1000 life points when an "Olympian" monster is in the graveyard. This monster may attack up to three times each battle phase. Lore: This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by paying 2000 life points when 2 "Olympian" monsters are in the graveyard. If this card destroys an attack position monster as a result of battle, inflict damage to your opponent's life points equal to the destroyed monster's defense. This card cannot be normal summoned or set. This card cannot be special summoned except by paying 3000 life points when 3 "Olympian" monsters are in the graveyard. This card cannot be destroyed by battle. During the End Phase, if this monster was involved in battle this turn, increase it's ATK by
ragnarok1945
for Hades, the summoning effect shouldn't be as many times as you want per turn Apollo's effect is little more than Light of Intervention for Athena, you should have also had a tails effect

Hunderas
is there going to be any cards in this that you can just set without special summon
Marco Polo
Card effs are fine I guess but the names are terrible.
Time Psyduck
Zeus and Poseidon are similar, so I'll look at them together. Both are very powerful, but with their reliance on the field spell and the other monsters they should be fine. Who's field does Hades summon to? If it's to your opponent it's almost pointless. If it's to you, it needs some limits to make it fair, and perhaps have them go back if Hades is destroyed or something. Hephaestus is nice - it's a fairly easy SS, and can search out equips for more. You need some equips though. Also, the search should happen in the draw phase. Ares is another easy SS. Piercing on 2600 and all DEF at 0 is very good but not at all OP'd. Apollo is easier still to summon (milling is rarely a bad thing, so it's pretty much a free summon), and can be brutal with Zeus. Maybe limit it to not setting monsters or spells & traps, rather than both, Dyonisus is costly to summon, although it's effect, being permanent, is powerful, especially in combination with Hades. Maybe lower the cost, and just make it level 4 or lower monsters. Mount Olympus could do with a better effect. I would consider putting that effect on each of the monsters, meaning you can use Skill Drain on them to let them stay without the field. Either way, I'd give this some effect to boost the monsters. Hermes is too costly to summon for something with Level 4 stats. Unless you can set most of your hand first, you won't want to lose it. The discard and draw would be nice if you weren't unlikely to not have more than one card, but as is it's not worth it. Aphrodite may be tricky to summon, although since you don't rely on banished cards it's not a huge cost. An attack lock with two is nice, as is the fact that it's effectively 2000 ATK Athena is bad. If you took 2000 damage in one go you're probably already in trouble, and having to discard a card isn't going to help, and neither is paying another 500 to risk yet more life points on a 50/50 sakuretsu armor. Artemis would be OK, but will destroy Mount Olympus when it's summoned. If it hits the field first, it can't be summoned. If it destroys first, you'll struggle to back it up. The cost is OK for what it does. I would make all four of the above level 4's, and either make them normal summon-able, or let them be special summoned whilst Mount Olympus is out for no cost. Aphrodite would need to lose some ATK and DEF, and Hermes some DEF, but other than that they'd be fine. Hera's name is horrible. It's also something of a 'Win More' card, since if you have Zeus out you're already likely to have an edge. It could do with being usable without Zeus. Hunderas
you could do demi-gods eg. Percius, Hercules
(GigaDrillBreaker)
@Hunderas: I like that idea. Perhaps they could only be summoned when an olympian is in the graveyard, sort of like a back-up (unless mount olympus is the field card) thanks for the idea. I'll add them as soon as I can. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Well, I kinda ran out of actual "Olympians" (I did all12 already) but I'm looking for ideas for sub-archetypes
Love of Ghibli
Wow I like this archetype a lot I think Athena is pretty awful that's a lot of cost to end up flipping a coin and I don't understand how that goes with her mythology of being the Goddess of Strategy I think her effect could just be to flat out stop attacks some way. If these cards really need the field that bad (which they seem to do) then the field should have more effects. I would think that you should get a bonus just for summoning Olympians with 7 or more stars.
Hunderas
there are alot of creatures you could do and theres also some more demi-gods.
Time Psyduck
If you want more monsters, there's always the other 5 billion Greek gods that weren't in that 12. And Hestia, who was until she resigned. I agree Athena needs a better effect. A chance effect really doesn't fit the image of wisdom and strategy, and it's still bad because it'll demolish your hand and then cause her to self-destruct even if the coin doesn't go completely against you. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Ok I am going to completely redo Athena's effect. Any ideas?
Love of Ghibli
Athena was the goddess of strategy so I would say when you opponent if your opponent attacks you pick their targets and when your monsters attack they get some other type of advantage. (GigaDrillBreaker)
Hmm... I like that Idea. I'll add it immediatelyOk how do you all like Athena's new effect? I also decided to add some support for monsters with high DEF since Athena is a Rock -type
