Forest is one of the first Field Spells ever, used by Weevil Underwood/Insecter Haga in the anime. And manga. Speaking of Insecter, the new Inzektor archetype released in Order of Chaos is becoming a prominent force. And this card is very important for Inzektors. First of all, Inzektor Dragonfly, the main monster of Inzektors, is vulnerable to Chain Disappearance due to its low ATK. However, with Forest on the field, Dragonfly’s ATK increases to 1200 and becomes invincible against Chain Disappearance. Just this, and some may think “Isn’t Forbidden Lance better either way?” But think a bit more. Right now, there is no way to search Forbidden Lance. However, Forest can be searched by Terraforming. Searching is extremely important in this card game, as it thins the deck and allows you to draw the best cards. Given this, it is easy to say Forest is much superior to Forbidden Lance in Inzektors. Yet, duelists still object despite starting to realize the sheer potential of Forest. “Isn’t Mystic Plasma Zone better?” No, of course. Using that makes Dragonfly 1500, and makes it fall to the hands of Bottomless Trap Hole. 1200 is the best possible stats that makes it literally indestructible. Besides, Mystic Plasma Zone can increase your opponents' monsters' ATK too, while Forest rarely does that. Not only that, being a Field Spell makes Forest able to destroy powerful other Field Spells such as Gates of the Dark World and Dragon Ravine, a devastating punch to decks that utilize them. By this point no one can object to the fact that Forest is now one of the best cards in this format, and an essential key card in Inzektors. However, sadly, "Forest" is extremely hard to obtain, due to the fact it has never been printed for many long years. Just like the real-life forests of nowadays that are being cut down and burnt by humans, the number of “Forest” cards is also limited.
