-Berserker-
I still hope they'll release a Verz counterpart to this. I don't care about the effect. I just want a DARK Fish-type Verz that can be summoned by Coelacanth...

They could continue in the mainstream duel world like them. *hopes to see verzified counterparts of non-duel terminal monsters like Blue-Eyes and Judgment Dragon*
Jord200
I run both this and Erial. Staple in Gishki.
NumberCruncher
This guy, Vision, and Shadow are the only reason Gishkis are usable at all. Always run @3 in Gishki, along with at least 2 Salvage to recover these.

.Nu-13
Ariel has much more targets and makes a nice Xyz engine with Beast. I don't know what are you on.
Synchronized
I run this, but I do like that Ariel can grab the Ritual Monsters, too.
Abyss can grab Gustkrake and Zealgigas. I run both, because it works nicely. Except for Dark World Lightning. (I'm going to autolose G1 against DW anyways, so what does it matter?) joex486
There is also the fact that Abyss searches Vision, and Vision searches any Ritual, so I think that the only good target Ariel has that Abyss doesn't is Beast. Personally, I don't think that that makes up for Abyss' speed. I suppose you could use both if you wanted.
Phantom Roxas
This card has an advantage because you don't have to flip it, but Ariel has an advantage because she has more targets.
Synchronized
Abyss can grab Gustkrake and Zealgigas. None of those are out so it makes no difference now. Right now, Ariel allows access to the majority of the Deck, while also being a Beast target, whereas Abyss hasn't helped me too much at all. I'm still gonna run it, but I run it with Ariel as opposed to separate.
Lunar Origins
I run Ariel because I like the art. Anyways, though, I do like running Ariel over this for various reasons, but this just seems a hell of a lot faster, albeit with less targets. Lonk
Ariel has much more targets and makes a nice Xyz engine with Beast. I don't know what are you on.
While Ariel has more targets, Abyss practically has the same target range (due to Shadow AND Vision, but Beast is out of range (which isn't really needed in the deck), it is faster, it's effect can be triggered with any form of summoning, and it is a target of many type 2 summon cards. I don't know what you are on when posting the post that Ariel is better than Abyss, when clearly it is not.
Agro
Abyss is better because of speed. That's it. And that's all it needs. Plus Shadow works well enough as a Beast target and this grabs that.
Zeal Ascendant
Was dueling gishkis earlier today. They ran ariel and this, and spammed zealgigas like crazy. Anyway, yeah, I'd say this is better than ariel.
byak
Abyss is superior, but I don't understand OP's logic of apparently not being able to play both.
