Good Places to Find Pics For Your Cards [Requesting Sticky.]

DARKPLANT RISING

This might be stickied soon if my request goes through. Anyhow, I feel there should be a thread which lists all the good places to find pics for card making. Well, more like Passion Pit said it was needed to me, but anyways.

So far:

Extremely versatile art site which holds pretty much all you need. Got loads of good pics, but you might need to crop some of them down a little cause' they're not always quadrate.
EDIT-In some cases, you should take permission before taking pics.

Some of you might know Jazin Kay, given he's a member of YCM. He's not recently active, but once in a while he adds to this album. Most pics are perfect quadrates suited for card making, and they're all HQ, not to mention overall amazing. If there's anything you gotta be careful of, it's the fact a lot of pics are from Duel Masters or other related card games, and hardcore fans might get upset. No, not like many people here play Duel Masters, but just saying. Also, some are from franchises such as anime.

To my knowledge, all pics are from Magic: The Gathering. So, like Jazin Kay, hardcore fans might get upset. Also, they're not quadrate, so you gotta crop them too. But they have a good lot of well-drawn pics.

Nominated by J-Max. A lot of the pictures are based on anime, or anime-ish. Of course it's also got a bunch of pics for RC. Seems pretty cool, I'll browse a bit further later.

Nominated by Relius Clover. Much similar to Jazin Kay, and equally awesome. Only got approximately 100 pics right now, but probably will grow.

Got others, say it here.

Thing is... about utility stickies or even stuff like this in RC, it ruins for me the aspect of going out and finding whatever website you CHOOSE and PREFER sure it helps but why guide something when the path is already as clear as the morning sun? And with a set number of places people go, it creates a standard rather than a curiosity when people see "bad" images etc.

C'mon Icy, it just helps people find images, and good ones at that. No one's gonna rail on people because they take images from other places. I've usually only used stuff from JazinKay, so having people suggest other places to look is great.

Also, cause this was my idea. xD

Entirely opinionated response. My idea of a good image is one that was personally selected for an idea and tweaked to your preference.

Honestly... I see no reason for this to be stuck in Realistic Cards. However, if other moderators do agree with me on this, I believe this this should probably be a sticky in Questions and Help. It would be far more useful there and would stop people from posting the "where do i find pictures for my cards??" topics that we see nearly every day.For now, I don't believe this to be sticky worthy in Realistic Cards for sure. If I could get other moderator's input on this though, I could just move this and have someone sticky it in Questions and Help.

Being a budding artist on dA too, I think most artists would prefer it if people didn't use their artwork.

When I say this, I mean actually knowing what you can and can't use. Read the artist's comments if they explicitly disallow public usage, or any other terms or stuff.

To be honest, you're not even allowed to use the license unless the artist puts up a Creative License. In all other cases, best way to do it is just ask the artist.

tl;dr don't use dA unless you actually can be bothered to go through permission stuff.

It's not hit by parental control at all anyway. Mainly because all 'nudes' are artistic nudes, and dA has a strict non-pornography policy.

Oh, and, yeah, worth the Q&H sticky, rather than the Realistic Cards one. The issue is much more common in Q&H.
