DARKPLANT RISING
A long time ago, in a continent far, far away from here (Japan), I was playing wrong Yugioh with friends. It was like this: -LP starts at 4000 because everyone watched the anime -For the same reason, people summoned stuff in face-up DEF position -Some rulings and rules were ignored, such as missing timing and changing attack targets For instance, one of my favorite combos was to summon Vorse Raider, equip United We Stand, and attack something. When my opponent uses Blue-Eyes and attacks, I activate Scapegoat, raising Vorse Raider's ATK by 3200 and delivering an end-game blow. Wave-Motion cannon was considered a staple. MST negated Mirror Force. Relinquished didn't say anything about Ritual Summoning, so I Normal Summoned it. Anyone have other memories like these? Resident Fascist
No, because I started when TAEV was released. Also I like the star wars reference you've got there.
CDDRodrigo
Ah, good old times. No tributes either, so Normal Summoning Dark Magician on the first turn like a baws.
~British Soul~
Le memories I remember when for fun/casual duels when we had no limits to the amount of cards in our decks and i had like 6 Dian Keto the Cure Masters and one of my friends had 8 Blue-Eyes, not to mention we had no tributes too
This Account is Unplayable
First played during Duelist Kingdom time. Brother summoned Nightmare Horse in attack mode. I summoned Dark Magician and attacked for 2k for game. Also memories of Wall of Illusion "bouncing before the battle". So much bad stuff.
Makο
Playing with my Older Brother. When playing Dark Hole meant that both players lose, as we're both sucked into a black hole to our untimely demises. GOOOOD TIMES
Toffee.
Normal Summon Dark Magician -> Insect Imitation -> Perfectly Ultimate Great Moth It was like the most pro move ever. Of course, this was back when I was terrible at the game, and nobody ever actually read cards.
White Void
When I first started, I played by Duelist Kingdom rules and used shitty burn cards. Attack and Recieve and Type Zero Magic Crusher specifically. Those were the days.
Kingdom Xathers
That's nothing: Back during the Duelist Kingdom years, me and my cousin would try out different rules depending on where we played (mostly for fun); If we dueled on a wood table, the field was treated as Forest, and if the sun got blocked out by clouds, the field was treated as Yami or Mystical Plasma Zone until the sun came back out, etc., etc.. There was also a time where we tried to play by "Duelist of the Roses"-like rules. That went about as well as you'd expect.

Zeal Ascendant
My friends thought that you could discard a card to draw a card, as many times as you wanted per turn, free of cost. ...yeah

Just Crouton
I started with a 80-100 card deck,. By 2006, I had a 150 card HERO deck that ran EVERYTHING, and 100 card Level 1-2 Vanilla deck.

Brinolovania
Well, my friend and I did read the rules, and we both had 40 card decks. But we decided a: Tributing is stupid and b: 8000 LP duels will take so long, so we play 2200 LP with direct attacks dealing half damage. And of course, MST negated, and I used Block Attack to flip monsters facedown to kill with Nobleman. I had Horn of the Unicorn in my deck, and Dark Magician was my trump card. But his strongest monster was Wingweaver, so it was sad because it was stronger And I used 2 Sangan, and always grabbed Mystic Clown. ...I really want to go build my first deck on DN now for no reason. WIth only one Sangan though.
