What the hell is an OOPart? [Begone, Knave!]

Recommended Posts

Sounds like something my daughter would ask for for breakfast when she can't decide between Fruit Loops and Pop Tarts.

tl;dr - Discuss Begone, Knave!

First person to mention MST gets a beating. Yeah yeah, we already know, MST is at three. Better stop maining Fiendish Chain.

OOParts comes from a reference of "Out of Place Artifacts", which are pieces of technology that are considered far too advanced to be presiding on a planet with that planet's associated technology level. If you've ever played Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time, there are quite a few references to OPAs, or "Out of Place Artifacts".

As for Begone, Knave:

Yata-Garasu loves this.

OOPart stands for Out of Place Artifact, where in something was discovered from a time that makes no sense. I.e: Someone got the year wrong.

Eh, I'll spare you for right now since it's my topic, but for next time discuss the card, not some minor story.

I know it's Out of Place Artifact, that's just a stupid name for them to choose. It just bugged me that [s]half[/s] a sizeable portion of the front page of TCG is talking about PoopFarts.

On-topic: Begone Knave! Fun card. Really pisses people off.

I think I used it run it in my trolly Spirit Deck, focusing on this, Ordeal of the Traveler, and Spring of Rebirth, plus Spirits, to annoy the hell out of my opponent. If they chose not to attack, I'd get more set-up, if they did attack, they had a chance of being bounced and restoring my LP, and even if they got past Ordeal, they WOULD get bounced and restore my LP.

Underrated.

OT: Underrated

Pika level OT: This card does not see much play, and is a very nice card for when you can run a large backrow. It completely laughs at Synchros, and if you combo it with Spirit Barrier, Marshmallon and Astral Barrier, you got yourself the best attack lockdown ever.

Really OT: Annoying.

How exactly does this help the "attack lockdown"? Spirit Barrier prevents Battle Damage, and Begone bounces if players deal Battle Damage. You'd just be setting up your own monsters to get bounced.

Astral Barrier makes all monsters attack directly.

Spirit Barrier prevents battle damage if you control a monster.

Marshmallon is that monster.

This bounces anyone that tries to attack.

tl;dr: Your opponent's attacks are useless.

Weren't you paying attention?

Begone Knave only bounces if they inflict Damage. Due to Spirit Barrier, you wont take Damage. Therefore, you wont bounce.

...either way those 2 cards make an attack lockdown.

This would be a bonus if they happen to destroy Spirit Barrier.
