*Torrential Tribute is better.*
*TT is semi'd.*
*Mirror Force is limited.*
Logic.

OT: The fact that this card used to be so broken, now sucks, is... I don't know how to say it. But it makes for a good destiny card against the dumb AI on a 1-MST 1-Heavy format on TF5.

Mirror Force was alright at the beginning of the format and was still being played. TT was still being played, but was semi'd because it's a good counter to every deck and they wanted every deck to actually have a viable out to them. Mirror Force doesn't do jack s***, so it'll probably go Semi in September.

tl;dr Konami semi'd Torrential because it was better to give every deck an out to the metagame than giving them another dead card.

Also this being bad really says a lot about the current metagame.

This card sucks so hard right now because of the format. What is it even good against again?
Fixed.

And it was good before Inzektors, it was really good a year before THAT, and all the way back to the beginning when it first came out.

The card slowly lost staple status over the formats, yet there are instances where it's better than TT, such as in Six Sams where field setup, especially monster setup, is important.
After Inzektors get hit, this thing may see more play, but it seems to have a similar situation as Book of Moon. It rises and falls every couple of formats.

That was the past, BOM will never fall again the way the game is now.

Inzekderps along with Heavy + 3 MST is not helping it's case at all, but at least it stops Obelisk. That's got to count for something, right?

I don't understand why you want to put monsters in the Graveyard. Wouldn't Banishing them stop them once and for all?

Feel free to rip apart my logic, but that's why I believe D-Prison (which still sucks) is better than Mirror Force (which is pig crap).
Right now D-Prison is better imo, thanks to lightpulsar dragon and grapha just going lolu at mirror force, and not a lot that hits the grave through mirror force/prison without +ing off it like LPD is really worth reusing, you wont bring back a spent leviathan or anything.

YCM logic is basically: Inzektors are the only deck.
Right? It's f***ing annoying.

OT: I still think this is good, no matter what format. If there's no space for it in my deck, I'd always Side it. Every time.

Are you saying its good?
Are you trying to imply that punishing your opponent for overextending is a bad thing?

It's not good per se, but you're moronic if you call it bad.

Oh and Inzektors are dropping in popularity, while Rabbit is getting even more popular again.

The problem with Force, is that it only deals with the aftermath of your opponent's plays, and cannot nuke monsters in Defence. Torrential however, can be activated as soon as their plays begin, and while you bomb your own monsters, generally that isn't a problem at all. The fact that Torrential has a better matchup against the top decks makes it better too. The card doesn't suck, a 1 sided psuedo-nuke will never suck, but because of the format we're currently in where S/T removal is everywhere, you get the idea.

Every big deck doesn't care about it this meta.

Heroes: lol gemini spark, shining plusses, make miracle live and other stuff
DWs: Grapha is immortal unless rfg'd
Inzektors: nuff said
Rabbit: dem lances, dem laggias, also lolstarlight
Chaos Dragon: lol LPD loops, trooper, lylas

All in addition to 3 MST and Heavy. wow

When Heroes push they still have monsters on the board, and last I checked an Alius is weaker than Shining so I wouldn't be as scared if they got one back.

Cards can't be mediocre game 1? This still saves you from being OTK'd against Dark Worlds and forces them to have all their resources they spent that turn brining out Graphas in vain.

Oh no, it's bad game 1, just like how Guaiba is bad against Rabbit game 1.

Have you ever tried Lancing your attacking monster? Have you ever tried lancing your 2-3 monsters at once? Also lolforcinglaggianegates. Starlight can be said for TT so I don't see your point there.

Dat 4 monster push just became a 2 monster end field.

I thought you were better than this.

Mirror Force works... Not the best defense against the current meta, but it's still a staple.
Staple implying that it is a must in every Deck. That's not the case so it's technically not a staple.

Just because it's not great in the current meta, it doesn't mean it is terrible as a card.

I just never have space for it anymore with Torrential @2.

Could still side it. Not everyone on DN plays Inzektors/Rabbit/whatever other meta deck I didn't mention, and it's a great card to play mind games on the opponent when they're set up with 3+ big monsters they just wasted their cards to get out and they realize you don't have Torrential.
