Nathanael D. Striker
A little something I decided to create. YCM fics may have been done before, but not based on the antics and problems it faces. So give it a read and come back with each new chapter. You won't regret it. NOTE: Don't beg to be in this fic. If I feel you are a good fit for the fic, I will.
It was early morning in the seemingly quiet YCM City. The sun was starting to rise allowing its citizens to wake up and start another day with the countless debates in TCG to the varied works in Creative Writing to the religious drama in General. It was around this time when most clubs in the city opened their doors. While most club owners were eager to open up to members, there was one hoping to sleep in after a night in the Treehouse. "Morning already?" asked the drowsy owner as sunlight glimmered in his room. "Is it too much to ask for me to sleep in once and a while?" Already knowing the answer to his question, the owner reluctantly got out of bed and headed downstairs. "Morning Strikeout," said LC, a regular of the Treehouse. "In case you are wondering how I got in, I let myself in with the spare key you gave me." Strikeout was a nickname LC gave the owner, Striker. At first Striker hated the nickname, but he got used to it. "You could have opened the Treehouse while you were down here LC," replied Striker as he unlocked the front door. "I assume you locked the back door after you came in?" "When don't I Strikeout?" responded LC in a humorous way. "I can list them right now, but I have somewhere to be right now," Striker responded. Striker headed out the door, but gave LC a simple request before he closed the door. "Make sure you keep the place running while I'm gone LC. I don't want a repeat of last week." With that, Striker headed out towards his blue and white BMW and drove off, and leaving LC to run the Treehouse in his absence. Back in TCG square, the terribads were getting a head start on the day. Now, terribads are those who are completely bad at the game with little hope of improvement or those who are completely clueless about the current meta. "DMoC is broken cause it doesn't need dedication, just two tributes," proclaimed a terribad. "I don't get it." said Agro, attempting to troll the terribad. "It needs two tributes to NORMAL SUMMON it." "I don't get it." "PLEASE tell me your joking. Well, Tribute Summon is pretty much in the same category with Normal Summon in TCG and OCG format. I mean look at cards like Torrential Tribute and Ultimate Offering. You don't see 'Tribute Summon' on the cards but they still activates when you do. Unless you don't play Yu-Gi-Oh, you will at least notice that." "What is a Tribute Summon?" "RAEG!!!!!" "Alright Agro, you've had your fun," said Darkplant-a TCG local. "Leave the poor fool alone now." Darkplant checked his watch and realized he was late for an important meeting. "So Darkplant, did you see how I messed with him? That was priceless." "Agro, I'd love to hear what you have to say, but I have somewhere to be right now and I'm currently running late." Not saying anything else, Agro let Darkplant head to the bus so he could make it to his meeting. On the other side of town, a crowd was forming in an old discussion hall near News Square. It was here were an important meeting was to be held, yet no one knew what it was about. The hall was lined with metal chairs with only a 4 ft walkways between the two sections of chairs. People were coming in by the dozens, each were marked and had their names crossed off. Striker arrived at the hall around the same time Darkplant got off the bus. Both were still hoping some seats were open. "Hey Kenta, how are you this morning?" asked Striker. "I'm surprised that you came out of TCG." "Striker, I'm only here due to the magnitude of this meeting," replied Darkplant. "Now, let's get inside before they lock the doors on us." The duo managed to get inside just before the doors were locked. Inside, almost every single chair was taken except a chair in the back and a chair in the front. Since both of them wanted to be in the front, they raced their way to the empty chair. Due to his size, Striker was able to get people out of his way easier allowing him to get to the chair. Awaiting him was a reserved marker with Darkplant name on it. "Come down here for nothing Striker?" chuckled Darkplant. "I could have told you that I reserved the seat, but I thought you could use the exercise." Feeling ashamed, Striker headed towards the back. "That is what I get for trying to take the front chair," he thought. Striker took his seat as Legend Zero-a General Mod-headed to the wooden podium in the front of the hall. Zero was a one year member of the Staff, but was one of the more known Mods. "I thank you all for coming on such a short notice," said Zero looking on at the large audience. "This is probably the last thing I would like to be doing, but no one else wanted to do this. Anyway, I called you all here this morning due to YCMaker's extended absence. This should be nothing new, but it is an issue that provides a challenge to us." Striker had a good idea how this meeting was going to end. Once Zero was done with his piece, everyone was going to into rant mode about YCMaker's laziness. He had seen similar meetings unfold and he wouldn't be surprised if the same happened here. "As you may know, the Staff have been constantly trying to get YCMaker to do something. Unfortunately, he ignores our pleads and continues to do nothing: until now. I have called you here because YCMaker has finally answered our pleas for a third administration." At the sound of that, the hall erupted in cheers. Everyone in the hall was glad that YCMaker had finally listened to their crys. "Order in the hall! Now, the new admin will be arriving tomorrow. I expect everyone in here to welcome him. Meeting ajourned," said Zero, leaving the hall. Everyone was shocked as they left the hall. They realized what Zero said was biter sweet; they were going to get a new admin, but it would be another one of YCMaker's trusted friends. Unfortunately, they had no idea if it would turn out like Falling Pizza-YCMaker's second in command who hasn't been seen since 2009. "Things just got very interesting. Hope this helps us," thought Striker as he got into his BMW. "Another admin may be what we need, but it could easily back fire. I must get my Treehouse ready." Striker started his BMW and drove back to his Treehouse.

It was mid-afternoon and the outcome of the morning's meeting was on everybody's mind. Rumors were floating around about the new Admin. Each part of the city had their own idea about the new Admin. In TCG, people were jumping to their own conclusions. "I heard that he plays the game quite well," said Rai- another TCG regular. "Would be nice to have someone that knows what they are doing. No offense Pika." "Now why would I be offended about that? " answered Pika- the Square's head Mod. "It would be nice to have an Admin to give me a hand now and then. I bet it would do this square wonders." "He may be the quality control we need in OP'd land," added Chris, referring to the situation in RC Plaza. "Honestly, we need more quality in that dump. Quality that I could provide with just a single card, but that dump ain't worth my time." "Nothing is worth your time Chris, not even yourself," responded Rai. "Your personality would probably scare everybody there." "It'd be good for them Rai. It'd teach them that we mean business. If we just let those idiots ruin what could be a good plaza, the whole city would be in ruins in a matter of days." "Chris, you're exaggerating again," said Neo. "That plaza isn't as bad as you claim it is. With a bit of work, it can be as it was in 2010." "Neo, you're probably the only hope that dump has now. That, my friend, is not an exaggeration." The group disbanded, each walking off to enjoy the rest of the day. Their views on the new Admin were optimistic, especially since they have been trying to take over the plaza for years. In their eyes, a golden opportunity was presenting itself, but in Club Square, people were preparing for the worst, the destruction of their mafia-like heritage. Most evidently, the heritage of the YCMaker Hotel. "I'm telling you Jake, that new Admin is going to be a death sentence for the Hotel and every other club surrounding the Square," said Creator, voicing his concern. "Where else am I going to do my experiments?" "Unfortunately, I agree with you," replied Jake. "The last thing I need is a total crackdown; it ain't good for business, especially after Opal cracked down on us." "Jake, you shouldn't worry that much," said Dae, walking into the Hotel. "You need to let things flow the way they need to flow." "Easy for you to say Dae," replied Jake. "You're probably the most laid back person in the City." "Not everybody can be like me, just like you Jake." "Wh... I'm not even going to ask. I just hope that this new Admin doesn't end my business. This is all I have left and it's in trouble already." "A little paranoid Jake?," replied Creator. "If anything, Striker's Treehouse will be the first to go." The Treehouse has been in a hostile relationship with the Hotel. Back in its third and fourth rising, The Treehouse was a rival of the Hotel. Even though members of The Treehouse were apart of the Hotel, some Hotel member looked at The Treehouse with disgust. "Honestly, I don't know how its still open. It's a complete copy of the Hotel in almost every way. If you ask me, Striker has been bribing Opal to keep it open." "I wouldn't be surprised about that Jake. I think Striker is trying to get some control of Club Square. To prevent that, I'd love to turn his precious Treehouse into firewood just like the last Treehouse. It'd teach him a lesson." "Creator, you have a twisted mind. That is why I like having you around." "What would be better than the new Admin chopping down the Treehouse for us? That would be sweet justice and a blow to that arrogant idiots ego." "I won't go that far Creator," said Dae. "Anyway, we should wait until tomorrow before we rush to judgment about what the new Admin will do." "Agreed," replied both Jake and Creator. The trio then started forming their plain to keep the Hotel running in case of hostile new Admin. They spent hours going through each scenario they could think of, spending the rest of the day doing so. The trio didn't finish until ten at night. By then, the entire city was asleep, preparing for the excitement that the morning would bring. Well, almost the entire city. Ever since YCMaker gave word that a new Admin would be coming, the Staff had been in a meeting of their own, mainly the veteran Staff. There they went into the night and into the early morning coming up with plans to maintain some control. Reason being, some of them were scared what the new Admin would do to their control of their respective areas. "I'm telling you guy, the new Admin is going to weaken our grip," said Icy. "The second he gets settled in, he is going to rearrange the Staff and probably get rid of some of us." "Icy, don't you think you are being a bit paranoid?" replied Roxas. "I, for one, welcome the new Admin. I could use a well deserved break." "Roxas, you are the last person who deserves a break. What have you done besides being lazy on the job?" "At least I don't promote people to do my dirty work." "Guys, chill out!" yelled Yankee, sensing old hostilities between the two building again. "We are here to protect the Staff as a whole, not our petty individual vendettas. Try to get that through your heads." Now, the Staff of YCM City have always butted heads from time to time. However, no rivalry came close to the one between Icy and Roxas, especially since Icy promoted him in the first place which lead to Roxas taking his spot on the Staff. "Yankee has a point Icy. For once, we have to work together to ensure a smooth transition." "Let's finish this tomorrow guys," said Yankee. "We are all tired and still unsure about tomorrow." With the Staff calling it a day after an twenty hour day, the city was finally quiet. No one knew what the next day would bring. One thing was for sure, the city was going to get exactly what it wanted: a new Admin and all the unseen consequences that go along with it.
Chapter Three: A Glimpse Into a Broken Man

Ren✧
Wasn't really expecting too much from this, seeing most of these kinds of fics don't have too much of a plot, but I was fairly impressed. As everyone has said, the part with Agro was pretty funny, hoping to see more of that throughout the fic. Can't wait to see where this is going! Looking forward to the next chapter. Thar
You're lack of spaces between hyphens makes me feel claustrophobic. But yeah, nothing more hilarious than trolling terribads. Also, a quick note for your future plan on including the Hotel in the fic: I carry an axe that extends on a long chain, and I can ignite it at will. Its name is Kevin, and it speaks in the form of voices in others' heads. But yeah, I like this. Along with Jake's DEF sequel, this might be one of few fics I plan to keep reading.
