The Seal of Orichalcos

Recommended Posts

I looked at 3 pages of TCG and didn't find any obvious tittle that would imply it's been done recently.

Maybe it's a prank from someone at wikia, maybe it's not that new and I'm late to the party, but I found this:

Read the description of the card.

Anyways, discuss Orichalcos.
Since we don't have any official effects for it, we can either use the Upperdeck version's or guess what it would/should have.

Most likely it's not gonna have it's "discard to negate anything" effect, but I mean the other effects.
I remember it was considered broken back in the day, what's it's stand now?

Considering the Konami page it was on, and how it mentioned your stronger monsters being able to protect your weaker ones...
I'm guessing it has some kind of You-can-pick-the-targets-for-your-Opponent's-attacks, effect.

Probably has to do with that effect of "backrow monsters can't be attacked if you have frontrow monsters", which makes any wall-effect monster easier to make a wall with (Marauding Captain, Miracle Flipper, Valkirya, Dupe Frog, etc)

Fourth page lucky: http://forum.yugiohc...-of-orichalcos/

Yeah, you're just a little late to the party. Might see list attention, who knows.

Funny how I was so close...

It'll probably be something like:

"The activation of this card cannot be negated. Field Spell Cards cannot be activated. Monsters you control gain 500 ATK (and are treated as DARK monsters?). Your opponent can only select the monster you control with the highest ATK as an attack target. If a card effect is activated that would destroy this face-up card, you can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard; negate the activation and destroy that card."

I expect something along the lines of:

What I want to get:
Cannot be destroyed by card effects. All monsters you control gain 500 ATK. You can Summon/Set in the Spell/Trap Card Zones. Monsters in the Spell/Trap Card Zones cannot be targetted for an attack while you control monsters in a Monster Card Zone.

What I will probably get:
DARK monsters gain 500 ATK. You select the targets for your opponent's attacks. If your opponent activates a card/effect that would target an "Orichalcos" card(s): You can discard this card; negate and destroy that card.

considering that cards used by bad guys are usually more nerfed. xP
Gives all your monsters +500 Attack Points.
It'll be better than what you think anyway.

what I see the effect likely being:
while this card is on the field, no other field spells can be played. all monsters you control gain 500 ATK. the only monster your opponent can choose for an attack is the monster with the highest ATK ( if there is more than one, all can be attacked.) if this card would leave the field, you may instead send 1 "seal of orichalcos" from your hand or deck to the graveyard.

this effect gives what we basically want, and promotes selling of the product while at the same time giving the seal it's protection effect, by requiring more seals in your deck.
and if I"m right the guys at konami are money grubbing bastards even more than I thought

Watch it be some weird ass support for Orichalcos Shunoros, making everybody on the planet cry.

I'd much, much rather it be that than something stupid we likely have to deal with for almost an entire format because it was released just after September. I don't want to see seal become a staple at all.
