Sleepy Posted August 11, 2012 Report Share Posted August 11, 2012 It's a difficult spot for Konami here. -If they made them legic cards with interesting and unique effects worth of winning a world championship, then people will complain about why those great cards are not around for the public to use. If the cards get reprinted for public use, then the prize is no longer that awesome. -If said prize cards are made with useless effects and/or just focusing in flavor, then there shouldn't be anyone complaining about not having access to said card(s). They will instead blame Konami for having such sweet art made for such useless cards. Though in the case of the cards being just made for the sweetness of the image, the winners might as well just get a foil poster, for a greater image. If the art is not desirable, well... what a s**ty prize. I personally would like it if Konami made prizes meant for actual use, (at least for casual use) regarless of wether the public will ever have them or not. I mean, it's the winner's prize after all, they should be able to have exclusive rights to use a casually interesting card if they got to win. Something like Tylor the Great Warrior for Tylor (the kid)... except that Tylor the Great Warrior wasn't a prize card, but you know what I mean... These are one-offs made only for them to commemorate their achievements of, y'know, actually making it to Worlds and doing well.
