The thing is, this never made anything more broken.

Why does a deck that can already win if it has 5 FIRE monsters in the graveyard need another win con? It's certainly a decent addition considering the fact that, most of the time, it's Ring of Destruction, but it's not exactly going to do anything that the deck couldn't do before.

It's definitely not making Lavals/whatever more consistent, but is it making it more explosive?

Lavals to Tier 0.

Hooray. Now I have to listen to Expelsword's fangasming every day for the next three hundred years.

Lavals don't even need this, but I guess it's an alternative to Quasar finishers... where can I find the space?

Sacreds may be my new thing, with all the support they're getting now.

Glacia is actually problematic(to an extent), seeing as it has a RotA that even fuels its own Summon >__>

Wasn't ring of destruction banned for a good reason?
What makes this any better?
As I mentioned earlier... This isn't as splashable as Ring, and is a lot slower then it.

Ignore Ring's burn. Then it's just "Destroy 1 monster on the field". Find me another card with that effect. Then, Ring is a Trap, which in this case is better than being a Spell because being a Trap allows it to disrupt plays. The double-burn, I would say, is just the icing that changes it from being worthy of a limit to a ban.

One card immediate setup isn't a lot slower.

He means you have to use it on your turn, where, theoretically, you could die before you can respond with it.

No.
I meant that Ring could be used any turn beyond Setting it, and required no effort to play what-so ever.
Pyrorex actually requires a bit of set-up, and isn't as herpderp as Ring.

I honestly don't see it as overpowered. Ring of Destruction was, in my opinion, banned for 2 reasons. 1. You could, at any time, drop a monster on the field. Your turn, your opponent's turn, and so on. 2. It caused tie games to occur MUCH more frequently.

While this does have the potential of causing the second, it does not have the first that made it so completely broken.

New effect:
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned (from your hand) by having exactly 5 FIRE monsters in your Graveyard, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: Target 1 monster your opponent controls; destroy it, and if you do, inflict damage to both players equal to half of its original ATK. The effect of "Pyrorex the Elemental Lord" can only be activated once per turn. If this card leaves the field, skip the Battle Phase of your next turn.

..Because I totally didn't edit the OP just now, so your post has become a +1. Seriously, I saw the new effect and went to edit the OP before I saw your post.
