Also, MStone is freaking amazing O_o with the backrow hate being somewhat crashed, I haven't had much issue in Summoning, especially since if Spells go, I still have several outs and can rack my advantage again witht he Naturia engine. @slayer - Botanical over Airbellum seems legit. @Sleepy - Deep Sea King mass Swarm? It means I can run both Foolish Burial and Chaos Sorcerer, or Book of Moon and RedRum in the same deck. Also, you cannot run any cards in the Power Ban List with each other. Only the Specialized Ban List cards can do this, but that second set of Semi-Limited, Limited and Unlimited card(s) take up the space of your would be Power Ban cards, so if I decided to run both Duality and Bottomless Trap Hole, I cannot run Solemn Warning or Rescue Rabbit and such. So what about the Special Unlimited? These cards can be run as 3 besides your regular 3, but only 1 card on the list. So you can run 3 BEWD with 3 Trade-Ins and 2 White Stones, or 3 White Stones, 3 Cards of Consonance, and 2 BEWD. The rest of the cards (and the ones here) are all up for debate, and this will be the custom ban list we will be using for Chance's Format - Tournament V. The idea of there only being the 3 of a certain card being there was one of the main appeals for this. And it would raise the question of what qualifies as one. Since, I fail to see a critera behind that one. I assume this is in addition to the normal lists? Becuase other wise how the feth did stuff like CED escape. You missed tones in the list. I disagree with what appears to be Exodia being viable again. Your Scorps could have teched exodia in. Losing it was one of the better things about the format. I agree, and have wanted a custom banlist for quite a while... It's just I can't see anything custom about it yet. An idea, everyone makes a list of say 10 things they think should get hit, provides a reason behind it, how they want it to be hit, and then as the topic name suggests, we discuss the merit of each different nomination. Someone could get PM'd the suggestions and colate them to make it easier. If we are making a custom banlist, I say everyone should be involved. I can get Blue Eyes, considering it has a Fusion that requires 3 of it, but White Stone really seems like a personal choice and not a mechanical one. I also stated that the cards on the ban list are up for debate. Banned cards I'd prefer to stay banned though which is why I didn't even mention them. Also, other problem cards such as JD, Karakuri Synchros, even Black Rose and Monarchs can be put on this list as it will be our custom list. @Slayer - It was just an example. Strider Tigerwolf Posted November 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted November 20, 2012 My little brother, and a several pages ago, pointed out something really clear: Some cards in the ban list are there because other cards broke them. Book of Moon is a flexible card. Foolish Burial is a nice -1. Dewloren is there because something else broke his eff. In a slower format, these cards are "outclassed" and not broken like in the regular format mainly because of their position and as such are usually not being used because there's always something better. For example, I would go Heavy Storm over Book of Moon because there is just much more of an impact with Heavy Storm than with Book of Moon or Foolish Burial, etc. The Special Ban lists allows these cards that would normally not be used to become used and as such impact the format. I do get the point of this, though currently the list needs changes, especially considering everyone and their mom would use Duality. There's never a reason not to play it in a deck, really. BLS > Chaos Sorcerer Heavy Storm > Book of Moon/Foolish Duality > Reasoning etc, etc. That's what I'm trying to correct with 2 Ban Lists. 1 Specialized for the Power Housers such as BLS, Heavy, Dark Hole, Gorz, etc, and 1 for "supplementary" type cards such as Book of Moon, Foolish, heck even T.G.
