I think it'd make things interesting and as such, I've decided to put this tournament together. In this tournament you'll be building your 40 card decks as usual, HOWEVER! Zeppeli Gyro Supreme Posted October 27, 2012 Report Share Posted October 27, 2012 I looked over the cards, and yeah, Crystal Beats have all the best of every kind of card. They have the best destruction, summoning, and draw cards, and their big monsters are nothing to laugh at in this format. Topaz Tiger especially has a good chance of shattering the opposition as a 2K beater. I tried to make a monarch deck, but after doing some test hands the deck draws bad hands 50% of the time. It's also hard to imagine the impact of cards in this Meta, because all of them are so weak on their own, and you can't quite know what your opponent will be playing. I actually had 5 different deck ideas, but right now I'm trying to decide between three of them. One of them is eh, but can be really good once it gets going. One has really good opening moves, but can't accomplish anything more than those moves. The last one has overwhelming power, but is lacking a bit of consistency. I spent all night looking through the lists to pick out "the good ones". If I really have to, if it goes on long enough with nothing happening, I will post the list I made to give people an idea of what they can play. While Carbuncle can swarm the field, There are not a lot of spell/trap destruction cards in this Meta, so building up for Abundance is quite simply 4 or less uninterrupted turns. and then you OTK. Carbuncle swarms, but as long as you have a bigger monster on the field, you should be okay. Whilst Abundance says "Screw that" and throws all logic out the window. [/quote] I was completely avoiding crystal beasts when doing my search, so I hadn't even considered it. You will also notice that for deck ideas I didn't mention Crystals Beasts because of that. [/quote] I haven't read beyond this post yet, but maybe it hasn't been said: Don't HERO monsters there, kinda revolve around Polymerization, and lack Necroshade, Bubbleman, and Skyscraper?
