I prefered Memory of a Rival... It was less of a mouthful for one.

OT: Its not bad. It just gets outclassed. The perminant control is slgihtly to slow to work amazingly well, and thats the one advantage this really has over Prison.

It's actually an interesting card. Situational, for sure, especially considering people have wisened up to attack weakest to strongest, but when you think about it, it's like a Gorz, but instead of dropping an additional 2700 beater it gets rid of their monster, and it can be MST'd.

It is a +1, though the cost is hefty and stealing an Xyz Monster will usually be pointless.

There really isn't a cost associated with it if your opponent is attacking directly, and it can also serve to keep a monster you need on the field for a turn. In a slower format, this card is the balls. Which reminds me... Great for Chance Format.

The wiki says:

And to make things more complicated, the wiki lists the card's translated name as "Memory of a [i]Friend[/i]".

Given the context of the card, "rival" would probably have been a better choice, since rival implies both "friend" and "adversary". But I'm sure Konami knows best.
