Jurrac Gallim

Let's be honest, its effect isn't great. Specifically has to be destroyed by battle, can only destroy the monster that destroyed it, and your opponent can choose to negate the effect with a discard. While it's a +0 either way, it's meh.

However, it's a Tuner. Not that amazing with Brionac gone, but it means options. What's more, it is searchable by Velo so you don't lose out on another card which can also summon if it need be: Guaiba. Obviously not the best target for Guaiba, but there are situations where you may want it.

It's also a Super-Transformation target, meaning that you can turn a Transformation into a +1 on your opponent's turn, and potentially remove an Xyz you couldn't with Transformation. There are definitely times where you do not want to summon Velo or Guaiba in Dino Ninjas. I have been testing it out, and it hasn't been bad so far. I do need to do a LOT more testing, though. Thoughts?

But with Dino you can Synchro Summon into Scrap Archfiend (better than Gaia ATK-wise) and Black Rose for nuking. It also has enough ATK to beat things and an effect that can provide advantage if necessary.

Gallim is good in Jurracs because it is the only useful Level 2 Tuner among them, and when destroyed by battle it can bring Herra without missing its timing. Outside of Jurracs... well, it has its uses in Dino Ninjas as Slayer mentions, but I don't think it should replace Dino. If anything it could be added to the Deck, rather than substituting other Dinosaurs.

Neither Gallim nor Herra are even remotely good in Jurracs.

I'd agree on Gallim, but I have a kickass solda-centric Jurrac build that abuses the s*** out of Herra. My point: you're making generalizations.

My point: There's always going to be one build that's superior to another. As such, the superior build is the one that goes by the name "Jurracs". There can be other variants, but when you say "Jurracs" or "Fableds" or "Mermails", it will always mean the best variant.

So, notreally.

Stop being elitist. Everyone has a unique personal build, mine uses Herra and works. Arguing that the only build that matters is the best one completely disregards the most important aspect of YGO: the player.

Sorry, but Black is in a league of his own, one of which you are never going to get to, because you use bad cards. 3 Guaiba 1 Velo is all you need, really.

Also, this post could have been a LOT more scathing, but I exercised great restraint on my part.

Most of the time, if you hear someone say "Mermails" or "Atlanteans", that refers to the best build. Same goes here. Different variants could use a card, but it doesn't change the fact that "Jurracs" do not. That's not elitist, that's fact.

You can't say that a card is good in "Jurracs" if it's only good in an inferior variant. You could say that it's good in said variant, but not "Jurracs". that's like saying The Fabled Nozoochee is good in "Fableds", but meaning Unicore Control.

I'm not even that good. I misplay a lot, I spend a lot of time just thinking of what COULD work on paper ad trying to implement it, I've netdecked a fair number of decks then edited them to my liking, and I'm honestly not completely up to date with the game. There's a fair handful of people here I consider better than me here on YCM alone. I just know what I'm talking about more often than not.

The core Jurrac build really only needs Guaiba, Velo, Dino and Aeolo. From there, smaller generic cards can be added to enhance the deck. Plus, Shock and Awe is how Jurracs pretty much survive against opponents that can outperform them in sheer ATK. In addition, Jurracs are (outside of rabbit) the deck-type that has the most consistency with summoning the Evolzars, just because of their toolboxing methods.

Gallim is okay in his other builds, but not Aggro-Jurracs.

I see both your points, but I can't help but disagree. Each deck is entirely relative to the player, each deck works differently for each player. I can't play hieratics for the life of me, and they're top tier stuff (and I was using a yugitube pro's build then) but I love blackwings. They net me more wins. A card may not work for you, nor the majority of players, but a few players may love it and find that it enhances their decks. The "superior build" that you cling to is nought more than a frame for a player to stretch to their preference. Once upon a time, I was using a really good Jurrac build (your "superior build") that I'd found on yugitube. It ran alright, but when I added in Herra and made it able to bring out solda, it was so much better for me. Superiority is relative to the player who accesses it.

I just wanted to test it out for the factor of options when Velo gets hit, or I have to Transform into a bad field with my Dino Ninjas. I actually played my Dino Ninjas against a Rescue Rabbit deck, and they attacked into both Sazank and Gallim, then ragequit. I keep swapping between this and Dino just to see how things go. I also think I should be playing a third Lance.

I always liked Gallim. Shame hes rather out-of-place among the other Jurracs.
Still a pretty neat Tuner, though.

Yes, that's the exact reason why I said "you couldn't with Transformation".
