[/quote] I don't get the process behind this. So many people say things like this... You are not losing advantage by activating this card. It is not a COST to activate the card, you are losing a monster by outside means. The card is going to be destroyed anyways, and Animal Trail is not that card. It is a +0. [/quote] Unless you're activating a Giant Rat or Sangan's effect (which are +1), in general, losing a monster in battle is a -1. You HAVE to let a monster be destroyed to activate this card. You are not consciously choosing for your monster to leave the field. The situation is a -1, yes. However, the card itself is not a -1. By that logic, activating Mirror Force to destroy 1 monster that was attacking one of yours would be a +1 then, because you are preventing the destruction of your own monster.
