I didn't care for the original YGO, I'm just being logical, while you've done nothing on your side of the "argument" but say I'm wrong and insult me.

I've pointed out how that isn't logical time and again. You're stretchign the truth.

The field could never be affected any other time, so there's no logic behind attacking the moon. It was never once used as an actual thing.

The rules were not solid and just served for Yugi to bullshit his way out of everything. Fusions almost literally seemed to be CREATED when needed (Like Black Skull,

None of it had any logic applied, it was just a way to keep it "exciting and memorable". I mean, how can you forget the moon beign attacked. How can you forget the flotation ring (Which, btw, is a part of the monster, so you shouldn't be able to attack a certain part of a monster) and things of the sort? And why would a defensive barrier than only held your opponents out hold your monsters in ONLY when the castle crashed?

There was o logic involved, stop trying to make something out of nothing to go on.

So you're saying stuff like
You destroy a flotation ring on a floating castle, of course it's gonna fall.

Zap giant bugs after they've been covered with water and you kill them.

Burn the grassy field and the corresponding monsters get weaker.
Makes no sense whatsoever, in any way shape or form? They did stuff like that all throughout the island tournament.

That's Duelist Kingdom, genius.

Makiu was a spell card that works with Thunder-Types and Summoned Skull. Of course it worked like that.

Burning the grassy field was ALSO a spell card that invovled destroying the fields, and, obviously, the monsters that got a 20% boost would lose it.

Attacking a floatation ring with a monster that deals burn damage (Along with the barrier I mentioned), aging monsters, some for better or worse as decided by the script, and attackign the moon with an effectless monster all make no sense. There was no logic behind those other than plot devices.

You're still thinking of the actual card effects (which obviously Duelist Kingdom wasn't about, it was more akin to the original where it was about the actual monsters and not the card game), not what would realistically happen. A wizard that controls time ages monsters, destroying the moon affects the tide, launching monsters from cannons destroys things, etc.

And excuse me, princess, for not knowing the name of the story arc.

No, I'm thinkign in terms of THIS IS A CARD GAME. A card game shouldn't have those things you're talking about. It doesn't make it realistic, it makes it convoluted as f*** and hard to follow.

Yes, realistically, knocking a castle down would kill things and so on. Is it realistic to ignore how the cards work for the sake of Deus Ex Machina? No, Duelist Kingdom's duels were s***, overall. Beign "realistic" and beign realistic to a card game are 2 completely different things, and you don't seem to get that.

And Time Wizard makign Dark Sage was total bullshit and proves your argument there wrong.

Why are you arguing if you don't know the name of a story arc when that's the very topic we're arguing over. That just proves you have no idea what's going on.

It's been awhile since I watched it, the name of the story arc isn't important.

I never said realistic to the card game, I've said they didn't follow the rules of the card game since the beginning. Duelist Kingdom ignored much of the card games actual rules, so there's no point in you thinking about from that point of view. You might as well be trying to hold the original YGO (you know, back when there was no card game) to the rules of the card game.

If anything the Dark Sage only supports what I've been saying. Dark Magician turns older, with age comes wisdom sort of thing, and he became a sage.

I don't know why this isn't used more often. I was dueling a friend of mine, and he has a really awful Spellcasters deck. No aim, no build, and we were just having fun so I let him have one final turn before finishing him off (I had 2 Hyperions, 2 Jupiters and an Athena on the field with Sanctuary in the Sky and Solidarity). He lucks out, pulls this, summons it, destroys all my monsters and 3 turns later he wins.

I enjoy luck, and without it I might as well play chess, which gets boring as hell after awhile.

Of course I enjoy good luck in my favor, but I don't dislike it when it's in my opponent's favor. I think of luck as a necessary evil that's not really evil.

Do you even get the point?

A game should be as skill based as possible. I'd much rather have every monster be a Gadget than have luck be a major factor.

That's an opinion, but the fact thy a competitive game should cut as much luck as possible is not.

I absolutely get that.

I also absolutely get that such a thing is impossible with a card game, due to the very nature of card games themselves.
