Not-so-Radiant Arin
I really don't see what the big deal with this card is. It's last effect is incredibly situational and it's negate effect is incredibly annoying, since it can replenish itself.

It's a funny wall. Cause if they try to get over it, not only will it just negate the attack, but then it can fire back :3 It's not all that good, but it sure is a good bit of fun. Blake
... Never change, YCM, never change... OT: A very good card if you can bring it out with minimal effort.
Sora1499
I love the artwork, and the name. However, rank 9 needs easier ways to be made and better stuff.
evilfusion
Beastcrafts made this at least playable. It's got very nice stats for the effort put into it (minimal, as mentioned), can negate attacks to itself for free, and if the opponent has at least 1 monster stronger than it, it can detach 1 to attack directly. And then, to hurt more, it can reattach materials from the Graveyard if it's got no materials and gets attacked, which lets it negate an attack again.Edit: Wait, once per Battle Step?! That means it negates every attack aimed at it, so long as nothing chains to negate it (LADD comes to mind).

evilfusion
The last effect is hilarious. Of course it matters. It's one of the things that makes this card funny: The only things likely to try to attack this in the first place give it the ability to attack directly for 2800 damage. evilfusion
>Once per Battle Step >Stops anything that would actually run over it >Refreshes its Xyz materials >YCM says it's notsogood. >/logic
Well, I expect the reasoning is: - Rank 9, meaning 2 Level 9s. Level 9 is a very rare Level to see, most of them are boss monsters in their own right. So to Summon it, you need to use some sort of combo with cards like GQL or Tannhauser Gate. Or Photon Satellite. - The stats of 2800/3000 are solid, but its effect is, essentially, you cannot attack it. Why are you worried about a 2800/3000 being attacked? - It refreshes its Materials, but only if it's attacked while it has no Materials. Again, why is a 2800/3000 worried about being attacked? Granted, it does get cool with revival effects (which mean 0 Materials). -Dyson Sphere's sole form of protection is the (essential) inability to be attacked. Effects still hit it perfectly well, and many people are using removal effects to deal with big monsters. -The ability to direct attack only works if the opponent has a monster with over 2800 ATK. The decks capable of running monsters like that tend to also already have methods of dealing with Dyson Sphere. For example, a boosted Grapha has over 2800 ATK. But a discarded Grapha will murder Dyson Sphere easily. In fact, there's a lot of commonly played cards that are much easier to bring out and can defeat Dyson Sphere by using card effects to destroy it or remove it from the Field. Add on the difficulty of Summoning it, and you've got an awesomely cool, big-bodied monster that isnt likely to be attacked in the first place, and only can do something truly dangerous when the opponent has a monster out capable of attacking it. -

Alice Moonflowyr
Still makes a perfect wall. Which was my point to begin with. Plus, if Dyson Sphere is the only thing you've got out to attack with, that's just a wee bit sad.

Without Safe Zone, still Dyson Sphere, since while Coat of Arms can attack directly, it'll lose the stolen effect next turn and be unable to negate Dyson Sphere's attack. The only archetype that can bring Rank 9s out with any consistency would be Phantom Beastcrafts, which are unlikely to have three Level 3 monsters with 2 "Phantom Beastcraft Tokens". Of course, this card can also be brought out with Heart-Earth but... that's not really the same as Xyz Summoning a Rank 9.

Canopy Star - Eon Sphere
If only this were easier to get out, I would so do Lava Golem/Grinder Golem shenanigans with this. Alas, another hilarious idea condemned to the drawing board. This card is my favourite Number, if only for the fact that it's so big it can encircle a whole star. I would run it only if it could be reliably summoned. As in, not through Level altering. Make some more Level 9s, Konami!
