You forgot Gustos, the kings/queens of trollboxing.

OT: Shark and Kaust aren't even that big of a deal, and I don't quite remember what Satellite does. The cards by themselves aren't bad, but the cards that they make (which is a horrible argument, but still an argument) are apparently the ones that make the toolbox cards broken. Apparently.

Satellite targets a Photon, then both the targeted monster and Satellite become the Level equal to the sum of their Levels. So if it targets Photon Thasher (Level 4), both Thrasher and Satellite become Level (4+1=) 5. Which gives access to things like Volca, Tiras, Pleiades...

I like cards that allow such flexibility. The trick is how easily they can combo. Kaust does incredible for Rank 5s, and multiple Kausts allow even more versatility,

I thought Monarchs/Frognarchs were considered a toolbox deck that dominated many formats ago?

He's talking about Extra Deck toolbox.

And it's one reason why Spore used to be much, much more powerful.

Guys. Let's not add ALL the toolboxing cards.

Or else I'll argue for Masked Dragon. Because Disaster was cool back in the day.

And there's definitely a difference between Gusto's (a full toolboxing deck) and Kaust, a toolboxing card.

I have heard that phrase 'toolbox' alot, but I never really understood what it fully meant. Can anyone please explain it to me?
I have always had the impression it's something along the lines of searching alot of monsters and the like...but this thread really confused me :o

[/quote]This is what I was talking about earlier.

When it comes to the searching kind, it means you can go for whatever card/monster in your deck when you want it. Like Gustos, for example.

When it comes to THIS topic, we're talking about cards that can go for whatever monster you want or need in your Extra Deck by changing the levels of monsters on the field. For the most part, themselves.

Love them.
Spore is probably the most fun I ever had with a Tuner, and with Level Eater it can become a Black Rose from the Graveyard, or Power Tool in Giga-vice. It can ease the minus that a Mist Wurm would represent.

Level-changing Spells would probably have been better in the form of monsters, thinking about it.....
