I admit, I think he has talent, but he's not doing much with it. His target audience is prepubescent girls. If he were to stop doing that, he could become as big as Michael Jackson. He probably won't though. He'll keep doing what he's doing to make money then slowly be forgotten as other mainstream pop stars emerge and become more popular.

Yeah not sure of the full story, but Japan hates him too because of when the tsunami hit and he cut his hair to sell to people and donate money to them. They took it as an insult and sent the money back, so yeah basically all of Asia hates him .3.

There were a bunch of cases where people did the same thing, but wrote bloody love letters because they thought oppa/unnie would want to be with them forever that way. (...and I'm not going to say where the blood came from in one of these cases =S)

But that was just people bragging about it over the Internet, which is probably the worse part. There's being crazy in a nutshell, but it's pretty advanced if you're sharing it with strangers all over the world and expect...their reactions or something.

The real issue is that we allow people to be this deluded. 3 people actually killed themselves over this. I understand that this was a giant troll by GNAA & others but how do you allow yourself to believe such a thing to such an extent? This is baffling.

 

As for the asian thing, all he needed to do was go make a commercial and say donate money to japan. Not sell his hair, which is disrespectful to Japanese culture. (I remember this from somewhere). If he did that and sent his own money he'd be good.

I don't think it was that he cared about Japan, since he's made it clear before that he thinks the only good thing to come out of Japan is sushi, I think he wanted the publicity, and figured this was the most arrogant way to get it .3. Certainly pissed me off when I heard since I had family living in Japan at the time.
