No, not a new card, just Plover's english name.
Discuss.

So they translated it by not translating it. meh that's fine.

Fun card

Except that's not a Chidori - that's a Raikiri. Demmy's Sasuke image shows a real Chidori.

Chidori is most commonly referenced as the blade that could cut through lightning
Not quite - you are referring to Raikiri, which translates into "Lightning Cutter" - the original Chidori has not shown that ability.

Anyway, the cards looks pretty nice as an Ultra - honestly, I think it deserves that spot. And I'm quite satisfied with the name change :3

OT: Pretty much every wind deck won't be hurt by running it.

No, they translated it, but because it was already translated, the new translated didn't need to be translated, for it was already translated.

Didn't the name also mean like 1000 birds or something?
Yes, it was the name of a sword during the 1500s. Though they changed it from Chidori to Raikiri after the wielder survived a thunderstorm. Funny fact is that Chidori isn't actually the bird, it's the sword in the background. :3c
