Ninja Grandmaster Hanzo

Recommended Posts

Can someone explain the combo to me?  Without it I can't see how good this guy is.

Well, that depends on what you mean... You use his effect to either search Ninjitsu Art of Transformation, Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation, or Ninjitsu Art of Rust Mist. In less popular cases, the Multiplication Arts. It depends on what deck you're playing which you will add, and they can be used for a lot of different things. Summon Dark Simorgh, Mist Valley Apex Avian, Lightpulsar Dragon, Jurrac Guaiba, or others.

Upstart Golden Ninja can also summon Hanzo to search for another ninja, and Call of the Haunted can too. Call also support the continuous trap theme found here, allowing it to be used with Magic Planter.

Basically you add Transformation with it and the next turn you bring out Apex Avian, Dark Simorgh, Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys or whatever the f*ck you want. Or Super Transformation to bring out Guaiba, some Hieratic, REDMD (if you're lucky), Lightpulsar, White Dragon Ninja, or anything else, while getting rid of an opponent's monster in the process.

Card is boss.

EDIT: Hanzo'd in a Hanzo thread, just wow.

One of the funniest things to do with Hanzo is when you set 2, and your opponent, rather than waiting for you to activate Transformation and chaining MST, blind MSTs into your Forbidden Lance. The opponent will then proceed to summon a monster, thinking they're safe now that you're under the effect of Forbidden Lance. However, when they go to attack you activate Super-Transformation and send just their monster to the graveyard.

Well, I use it in my Wind Rabbit deck.

>Set Ninjitsu Art of Transformation

>Next turn

>If it lives, Summon Hanzo

>Activate NAoT

>Summon Rabbit (bit of a waste), or Dark Simorgh.

>Your oppoent can no longer set traps, spells, or monsters. (All set cards from now on stay set until activated, as normal.)

How isn't he?  He's not 1900, so he's relatively easy to run over, he searches Trap Cards, works well with his own Deck, and it's not like he's broken or anything.  He's just a good card that supports some solid Tier 2-3 Decks.  I don't see an issue.

Thats just it.
Hanzo is really good, but isn't game-breakingly busted.
Though, to be fair, hes quite obnoxious just for what he can search.
