Northern Sage
2 Level 4 Winged Beast-Type monsters Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; until your next Standby Phase, negate the effects of all face-up cards your opponent currently controls, also this card gains 300 ATK for each face-up card currently on the field, except this card. Aix
Harpy Tiger King? That's retarded. Why do they keep making negation power Xyz monsters? This card is ridiculous. With your Harpie's Hunting Ground and 1 monster your opponent controls, you now have a 2600 ATK beater.

Based on the wording this stops Cont.s S/T & field spells.

They seem to be recycling the effects of Xyz monsters a lot lately. Maybe Konami has hit a wall.

guuu1234
First Winged Beast WATER monster?? Love the art, love the effect. The more you (or your opponent) controls, the stronger this card becomes. Me gusta :D

Blake
Zephyros. OH wow, geeze, I didn't think of that. That's so out there. Thank you for enlightening me. I didn't say don't run it, but it's not like it's gonna have a huge splash next to Plover when it's only an inferior backup option.

Obv you're right in that Plover is better than this most of the time but if you just want to swing for damage this is pretty good.
Stan Alda
Let's do some math: Your 3 Monster Zones (you'll lose two by Xyzing this) X 300=900 ATK Your 5 Spell/Trap Zones X 300=1500 ATK Your opponent's 5 Monster Zones=1500 ATK Your opponent's 5 Spell/Traap Zones=1500 ATK 900+1500+1500+1500= +5400 ATK Under ideal conditions, you can get +5400 ATK in addition to its already OK 2000 ATK. An actual boost would be more like 900 or so (This + 2 monsters on your opponent's side), plus negation. It's probably not consistent, but it could be very scary under given conditions. ihop
Also this is much better than Plover when staring down a Hyperion as putting it back on top of the deck doesn't really solve it.

No, I mean... ...even by your theoretical example, you can still fill up your field with 5 monsters before detaching 1 for this card's effect, thus you can get up to 5.7k. Which is impossible, but still...

b0b3rt
Pretty decent against Fire Fists, things with other continuous effects, etc. Blackwings get a new toy. Not bad. Also 2200 isn't chump defense.
