Why are Spellbooks so damn expensive?

Recommended Posts

What is actually the better move to make for the introduction of an archtype?
-Release all at once so that people don't have to wait forever to get what the archtype needs.

-Release it bits by bits because once a player has a deck, odds are that such player expects to keep looking at latter releases with toys for them, rather than Konami downright dropping it altogether....

A bit more on topic:

They shouldn't be that expensive. I was exited to hear Spellcasters would get some love, and being my favorite type, I wanted to try them, but they got overhyped, got rarity bumps, and everyone was suddenly looking for them nearby. Rarity bumps for TCG releases is a clear idea of Konami trying to rise the price of cards that seem at least somewhat interesting/good and see how much consumers are willing to be milked. Happened to:Shard of Greed, Rescue Rabbit, Gagaga Girl, a lot of the Spellbook archtype, Solemn Warning, Pot of Duality, Dark Armed Dragon.... what else?...

But isn't the Special Summon of High Priestess an effect? :o

Sadly. ;-;

a.k.a.: Raegquit x40.

Junon can be handled.

The fact that they have 5 different search cards is stupid.

Thus, Rai-Oh.

DON'T WORRY GUYS

... For the record

That was months ago and I was playing lolFortuneLadySpellbooks.

I will not be caught dead playing $2000-3000 Solitaire.

BTW, where the fuck did you even keep that?

The same rules apply to normal Spellbooks though. Their only out in most builds is Dark Hole.

Also. Turns out YCM has a search function: http://forum.yugiohcardmaker.net/topic/293071-koaki-meiru-drago/?hl=%2Bkoa%26%2339%3Bki+%2Bmeiru+%2Bdrago

I agree with this, I fail to understand why people pay ridiculous amounts for a mediocre Deck, when you can get waaay better ones such as Agents, Wind-Ups and even Mermails.

There's actually a guy at my locals who's semi-youtube famous for playing Prophecy and owns like 24 High Priestess, and obviously this leads to loads of people at my locals trying to copy it, casually skating over the fact that he always does badly with them.

I actually win and do well with the deck.
